Talked to rekluse they said possibly in the new year and to call them back in 6 months. When I asked them if I could buy their prototypes they said they wouldn't sell them because they would still possibly produce a clutch for us.. So..?

I had a rekluse on my Honda CRF250X - from my experience the only down sides are:

    • parking on a hill - you can't leave it in gear and let the transmission hold the bike, I had a strip of velcro to wrap around my front brake and
    • idling/powerbraking down steep hills - you have to get the engagement point set up right or and make sure the revs stay up there. Other than that loved it! It saved me quite a few times!

    Ben,

If you really want this to happen I think the best you can do is to get together a list of guys that commit to buying one, e.g. at the same price as the KTM 950/990 models, and ideally with a $x00 down payment.

Then they know that there is a market and that they will sell what they build.

As I mentioned above, I love the Rekluse on my KTM 450EXC.

However, I was pondering what it would feel like on an F800GS. The KTM has a tractor gear, so I can putt-putt all day in 1st. Not so on the BMW. I wonder if the Rekluse on an 800GS would require constant (FSVC) pressure on the brakes to controll low speed maneuvering. I wouldnt like that.

I already have dropped a tooth in front, put on a power booster, and re-mapped with the low octane map. I've also got the G2 throttle tamer. Am I leaving anything out?

Since I started this thread back in April, I've called them many times with no progress. However, I like this idea of a roll call and even pre-orders to get the ball rolling on their end.

    I am in.

Thanks, but that was more of a rhetorical question.
It was more a statement than a question.:freaky

I have one on my CRF250X. It's a little bike but can't imagine not having it on the bike. Worth every penny.
I WANT ONE FOR MY F8. This will make up for the high first gear and will make the technical stuff so much easier.
