One of my neighbors has got a titled KTM 450 he's wanting to get rid of pretty cheap. I just noticed today he installed the rekluse auto clutch. This was his 65 year old fathers bike. Anyway I know nothing about the system. I'm wondering are they reliable? Easily reversible? The bike is mint 2010 for $1900. I want the bike just worried about this clutch. Do any of you guys run the system? Are there benifits? Disadvantages? Thanks in advance guys.

Great clutch. Keep it. You can always take it out. U should be able to use the clutch just as u do if it wasn't there. Some people poo poo the rekluse saying you have to rev the motor to keep compression braking. I rode one a couple of weeks ago and found it to work flawlessly. It disengaged at idle but if the bikes at idle it isn't slowing u down anyway. I ordered one for my 530 as soon as I got home. $1900 sounds like a steal!

Thanks Endo. I reckon I'll go buy it tomorrow. I'll post some picks for you guys. He's keeping the headlight. The stator has been wound by Baja Design so I think I'm going to grab an 8inch HID from those guys. No inspection in SC so I'm good to go with blinding folks. I'm going to do the 8inch HID or the dual Fuegos.

Don't know whether to go with single or double. The double is pretty much double the cost so I think I'll go single spot.

I have a 08 450 XCRW with the Rekluse in it and I love it. I still catch myself using the clutch myself sometimes mainly for downshifting but it works with/without your hand, you do have to rev the bike some for the RPM's to get up if your needing a quick log hop to happen unless your already giving it some throttle to power hop it otherwise it's a great system. It's VERY fun on wide open stretches when you start from a dead stop in first gear and before you know it your in 6th without even moving a finger.
