I arrived in Mexico City a couple of days ago and currently staying in a temporary apartment in El Bosque Tlalpan.

I just finished crossing Africa two-up with my girlfriend (adv thread). We did 10 countries, 20,000 kilometers and approximately 6 months. Before that we spent 6 months backpacking around Asia learning about alternative medicine (blog).

Before our travels I spent 4 years living in Switzerland working as a Global Director in the head quarters of one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world.

My current plan is to open the Mexico Country Trax Off-Road Riding Academy on the weekends, keep building NicaMoto in Nicaragua and then figure out a more stable form of income.

I'm looking forward to meet local adv riders, hearing of any good off-road routes around Mexico City and if anyone is interested in helping me build the off-road academy let me know!

I look forward to hearing from you! :freaky

Good luck with your Mexico ventures.

If I remember correctly, you hiked it out to El Mirador in Guatemala.

    Hi El Stigo!

I got the PM and thank you for the offer!
I'm bringing to Mexico the bike that I used to cross Africa an F800GS.
The relocation company still has to pick it up, put it on a ship and then I need to figure out clearing customs... so it will be a few weeks before I get it. I'm considering buying one in the meantime as I do not have a vehicle of my own...

Here is a pic of the bike fully loaded in Africa

I'll definitely let you know when I come out that way. I want to check out the Pegaso facilities and I heard there is some good riding out that way!

Hey there. Great trips. Envy you. German couple 18 years in Mexico. Send me a PM: Love to have a beer and maybe ride together.

Pegaso is where BMW offers their riding school. Maybe you should talk to Gerardo Ibarra at motorradexplorer.com and to Francois Decreux at activentura.com. Both have on-road/off-road riding schools and stuff.

    Cheers ! Alex

My bike finally has been picked up by the relocation company and hopefully it will be soon on a ship to Mexico.

After a few weeks searching we have finally found a permanent apartment in San Jose Insurgentes... so if you anyone of you coming to this part of the city let me know so we can meet....

Once the bike arrives i'll start reaching out to you FF.
