The latest article on the website is a route that was GPS logged over the weekend of the Brass Monkey. A few bikers ended up in some of the photos

what an awesome website and a brilliant resource for us adv riders. Well done and thanks. Your hard work has benefitted us all, so thanks very much.
just quickly - I've tried uploading a photo and setting up my profile but it won't let me, it just tells me to wait while my file uploads then does nothing. have I done something wrong?

keep up the awesome work, its really appreciated

    Hi Brendan

Thanks for the kind words on the website. We have just established today that Internet Explorer 10 or older is too old to use the advanced features of RemoteMoto. If you are using Internet Explorer 10 or older simply update to Internet Explorer 11 and you’ll be able to join without any issues.

My personal recommendation is to use either Google Chrome or Firefox.

If this doesn't help and you have further issues feel free to drop me an email and I'll help getting it sorted for you.

    Cheers

    Josh

    Hi Simon

Thanks for your kind comments. You've hit the nail on the head with the term "passion" as this is the main driver behind the RemoteMoto project. Great to see you've joined up, happy to have you on-board!

I'm often blown away that the combination of riding and flyfishing work in so well and create such fantastic trips, but to date, I have not crossed paths with one other riding flyfisherman (New Zealander or traveller). On that note however, there are a surprising number of RemoteMoto members that have mentioned they are into it or gearing up to do both which is great. There is something very cool that RemoteMoto is planning for riding flyfisherman, however it is still under wraps so more on that later.

I've been following Noah’s travels, a fantastic RR. I've been in contact with him along the way, nothing set in stone as yet but there are loose plans to catch up at some point with the aim to take him to a couple of secret spots and get him hooked up on some big New Zealand brown trout.

The last few months have been utterly insane getting RemoteMoto ready for launch. Many long days that stretched right around into the wee hours of the morning. Apart from a few teething issues as you would expect from a website of this size the launch has gone remarkably well and I'm very grateful to all those that have supplied fantastic feedback.

Apart from an arsenal of exciting projects and features in the pipeline, there are two new features being rolled into RemoteMoto over the next eight weeks. These are also under wraps however I can reveal that RemoteMoto was fully structured to support the North Island, South Island (and go global) and we’ll be looking to secure the RemoteMoto North Island manager within the next 10 to 12 weeks. I'm very excited about rolling RemoteMoto into the North Island for two main reasons, one being that I was born and bred and lived in the North Island (Waikune) and the other is that there have been numerous requests from North Island riders. I have held back from putting up any North Island routes on the basis that it needs to follow suit of the South Island format and supply highly accurate information supplemented with numerous photographs and be managed by the hand of a genuine adventure rider with an intimate knowledge of the North Island routes.

Thanks again Simon, more info will follow…

After the Woolly Wheels trip saw me having a pretty big off avoiding a sheep and my screen being destroyed, it was time to bite the bullet and spend the time creating molds and jigs for a new and more modern looking screen. After a nearly 2 months of R&D the first prototype of the new screen was tested today and the result was a rip roaring success. Great wind protection, gauges perfectly situated for easy viewing and minimal buffeting at high speed.

This is not the best photo angle, from the seated position the dash is at a very user-friendly angle allowing for visibility of all the gauges and minimal glare from the sun
