Hey y'all. I'm doing a valve check service on my 2010 990 and following paochow's documentation here:
    http://paochow.com/forum/index.php?topic=45.0

Step 25 says to loosen the bottom two 6mm bolts on the manifold, which i have done but that sucker is not coming loose. Before I gorilla-arm this thing I wanted to double check that I have in-fact loosened the correct bolts, is this them or is this just dual belt clamps for the intakes?

    thanks in advance

After you loosen the screws (those are the right ones circled) push on the clamp so that you know its free of the rubber then gently rock it back & forth while pulling upwards.

For reassembly you will want to completely clean the manifolds with carb cleaner, wiping them clean. Also make sure that the head spigots are clean as well. I recommend not using any form of lubrication on the manifolds. Then put the manifolds back onto the engine, tighten the clamps to the limiter, then open the upper clamps to 99% stroke. This will make inserting the throttle bodies into the manifolds easier. Drop the front one in first, then with a forward and down pressure guide the rear throttle body into the rear manifold. Pushing down on both front and rear should seat them.... then tighten clamps to limiters.
