Hi there I've been waffling around trying to find a good jacket for my summer city commuting
    if I go revit
I'm trying to decide between the Turbine - which seems to be the bomb proof mesh jacket revit sells vs the newer Tornado or Airwave. I'm trying to find something that flows more air than my current joe rocket perf leather jacket.

how do these all stack up protection (abrasion and armor), airflow, and fit?

I realize the turbine is being phased out but it would be great to hear about even if just for comparisons sake

also about colors are the lighter jackets in practice much cooler than the all black? - thinking about black just to keep things simple and easy to keep clean.

    lastly pants....
looking for something to throw on over my street clothes - ideally it would be waterproof/resistant but flow some air in the summer - I have a pair of olympia mesh pants but hate putting on two more layers of clothing incase of rain.

I've been thinking about a pair of darien pants but know they will be hot here in Nashville in the summer (but I like the idea of one simple layer

    lots of questions

    many thanks!

    Hi there,

Well, TURBINE jacket is out of question because it's discontinued and completely sold out.

If airflow is your primary goal, either AIRWAVE or TORNADO will do just fine. TORNADO is a bit more versatile because of removable liner, but if you want just ventilation AIRWAVE is best bang for the buck. If you are willing to sacrifice a bit of ventilation for safety, IGNITION is your best bet. This one is tough as old nails thanks to full grain Italian leather, yet it still ventilates as much as old TURBINE did. Is't a bit more pricey though. Hope this helps, sorry for delayed response, I have been spending too much time in ride reports.

Rev'it! usually has sale once a year, perhaps there will be another one for Thanksgiving. Cheers,

D, do you know where I can get a button-snap that closes the pants (Sand pants), then you zip up the zipper? Do you sell these, if so, how much? If not, where can I get a replacement button-snap?
    Thanks!

I can probably get this button from Rev'it! How old are your pants? You could still be under warranty. Is this male or female part you are after? Cheers,

Not sure how old the pants are, got them used from a friend,, just needing the female button-snap, if you could help, it would be completely awesome.
    Thanks for getting involved! :clap

Just looked through my assortment of Rev'it! buttons and snaps and it turned out I only have one left. It's your lucky day, it's female snap for SAND pants :D Now perhaps you should buy yourself a pair of Rev'it! socks so I can send it along :D

Looking at the Sand jacket and have a question on sizing. I'm 6', 200lbs, with a 41 1/2 to 42" chest. The sizing chart shows I could go with either a L or XL. My wife says I always buy my gear too big. I'm currently wearing a Harley FXRG size L that fits very well. I also wear a TourMaster Flex Series 2 in L but that jacket fits fairly large on me. Any ideas? Thanks.

You can go with either size depending on how you like your gear to fit and how you are going to use it.

If you intend to ride in cold conditions, XL will have more room for extra layers. L will fit nice and snug with all the liners in, and once you remove them it will fit perfect. If you do not like tight fitting stuff go with XL, it will be more comfortable. I would go with L :D

Over the years I have enjoyed enormous support from fellow ADV Riders. Thanks to you, Beach Moto is bigger and better than ever :clap

Because our retail store now offers a lot more than just Rev'it! we created separate web site for our local Southern California brick and mortar store to show what we actually have to offer. Check it out and spread the word. Cheers,

Bought a Sand jacket last year and its been working well but I just bought a new pair of summer gloves. No gauntlet and now my sleeves keep unzipping as I'm riding. Any hint or tip to keep the sleeve zips zipped?

All my other gloves are gauntlet so the zippers stay zipped. Thanks.

It depends on the style of zipper you have. If the pull has black plastic cover on it, just flip it back and it should lock it. If it's all metal there is not much you can do.

It's metal with a black plastic cover, but no locking pin. The zippers on the chest vents do have a locking pin. I'll have to switch jackets for summer cause it consistently unzips. Please send a comment back to HQ that they really don't need a locking pin on the vent zippers but it would be most beneficial on the sleeve zippers. Thanks.

    Hey gang,

I have a Revit Airwave that I got off an inmate that is about three seasons old. I like the jacket but the sizing has never really fit me that great for this model. Can anyone provide me with an alternative summer type mesh jacket recommendations from Revit. I am looking at the Tarmac Air, Turbine and Tornado. I would ideally like one that is more of a US style fit rather than the Euro fit. All advice is appreciated.
