I would be up for the ride Sunday also. I rode some of the lower loop Saturday by myself and almost regretted it. I got sucked into the mud at the major water crossing (the one that sometimes is nothing, and other times is a river) after 138. Since I was by myself, i went way farther right trying to avoid the water, the front end fell into a hole and water was at the cylinder head. I said dont' stall now, and i did. I jumped off, water over the boots, and halled the bike out. and it started in one kick. thought i was going to be walking back to the truck. went back the other way, around that section :evil

anyway, I could offer a 2nd pair of eyes (although they are pretty much failing me lately as I get older). I am fairly mechanical, but honestly have never done a Rekluse. I am seriously considering one for my Husky though. If i can help break someone else's bike first, then maybe the install will go smoothly on mine :rofl.

I could also offer up a free tire change with the NoMar tire changer.. although I suck with that piece of gear too and you would have to do most of the work :rofl

There is a very good video on how to install the Rekluse.. think we could simply follow it step by step.. my schedule is wide open :D

I just realized monday is a holiday so Sunday or monday would be good for riding most likely. I may be up for some wrenching as well sometime although I have a fair amount to do on my BMW before the Ontario ride in a couple weeks...

Which Rekluse did you buy? EXP Core? Anyway I just put one in the Beta a couple months ago, they are easy to put in. I will help you if you can bring bike out this way. Baseball x2 (coaching one), boy scouts, cub scouts, are keeping me pretty busy.

I bought a used Z-start pro and a scotts steering damper from a guy in NC who had hip surgery and wont be able to ride for a while.. both came off his Husaberg.. got them for less than an new Rekluse alone.. so good deal.. kinda. I also picked up a used, rebuilt by Woody rear 640 cush hub on an excel wheel.. I am bleeding money :D

I'm pretty tight on the mechanics, if you're buying dinner I can ride out there.

While packing up on sunday, after leaving my tent upside down to dry out and doing something else, I came back to find it doing horrific things to Terry's tent. Is that considered incest?

Umm, I believe that is MRT10X's tent, my tent would have fought off such indignity! :bash

btw, I have a guess as to who stopped by the house today...something to do with putting out fires and sitting back with your feet up. Close?

I just want to offer my sincere thanks to the people of "Section T" for cleaning up that mess. The site was pretty full of bottles and cans, and the effort to collect and dispose of it all wasn't trivial - especially on bikes. I know I've cleaned up my share of campsites and I just want you guys to know that I for one really appreciate it. Thanks.

Matt, I'd be in if it's either one of the last 2 weekends in June-I'm free those times. I missed it-looked like a lot of fun.

No no, you have it all wrong. I thought it was someone else, a retired firefighter, hence the feet up part. Everyone knows I respect the firefighters; anyone who runs into a burning building while the rest of us are running out deserves it.

What were you doing over here? Picking up a "friend" :evil

Now back to the regularly scheduled broadcast...

friday night and still no real plans for some "Little Bike Crash-o-Rama" riding this weekend.....
I suppose I'll lock something down... I'll be there riding; either solo or with whomever shows up..

Sunday, 5/27/12 - 10am at the Beach Pond parking lot
    ..
I'll be riding the lower half of the Pachaug loop skipping the green falls water crossing and maybe skipping a single track section with some awkward rocks.. Perhaps riding the full loop (minus baby-head hill/mt. misery) or re-riding a few sections of the lower half..

The weather looks good as of now, 74 Degrees and partly cloudy..
The pace will be "as fast as we can go" but I'm not a particularly fast rider, I'm out of shape, and I have no desire to pass someone when in the woods.. So it would be quick but not a race.. I also have no problem taking a break at stops as long as they're not terribly long..

So that's my agenda.. who's in?
