I made it out to Arcadia on Tuesday finally, used some of the Drop-o-Rama maps to find my way. Man that was a lot of fun. A few of the trails were closed though, I think one of the bridges was out, but most areas were open, and not too hard on my T800. There was only one tricky area where it was a steep climb up loose gravel, but I made it. I'll have to head out there again soon, and find some Pachaug roads as well.

Matt (MRT10X) may have moved West but we should keep this thread going in his honor! Sup Matt! I'm sure you're following still!

It's been quiet in here since October 2013 but the snow has mostly melted now and my F650 has had more months rest than it's ever had.. It's itching to go out and get stuck in mud bogs, dropped on rocks and lost in the woods... . . I'm actually hoping to not beat on the bike as much this year but I think I said that last year too. I AM going to try to stick to that plan at least a little better this year though.

So, When and where should we have a "Welcome to Spring, 2014" ride? (it sort of rhymes if you say it right)

Wherever, and depending on when, I'd certainly be interested in tagging along. (That is, if MA guys are allowed to play :D)

One thing's for sure...I can drop my bike alongside the best of em!

    Hi Al,

I think a good first ride of the year would be a TDUB Dunkin Donut ride repeat with some adjustments if needed for that stream...
I was thinking it would be nice to wander south of DD into the roads of the Indian Reservation....

sort like the May 2012 Devils Hopyard Camp-n-ride..

There was a normal big bike ride with some bumpy stuff on Saturday but Sunday some of us did a big bike doable/small bike oriented ride which is what's shown above.. I'm not sure I'd do that route again on on my F650 but it's obviously doable on a biggish bike..

A few of us did a quick beer run from camp Saturday afternoon after the group ride too... That was a fun little ride to the packy..

Yup, I'm in. I have 3 sites at Prospect mountain reserved for the dualsporkers. I have room for at least a few more. Let me know if you want me to save you a spot I have T3-T5 and I'm figuring on 2 people per site. I have room for 3 more. Anyone else will have to call and reserve something themselves..

akarob, le bot de fromage and I are in. We got a couple of tents per spot last time. Are you reserved for just Friday and Saturday nights? I'm thinking we may want to stay Sunday night, too, so I will call and reserve for an extra night.

Sorry I missed the chance to ride today. The weather was perfect. I barely got to put some 30 miles on the bike and try out the ESA and ASC modes:

That's great. Yes, I have the spots for Fri and Sat nights. You are the 4th tent so far to join in. I highly doubt a reservation will be needed for Sunday night, you could just take care of it when you get there Friday. Camping season is coming up fast. I'm looking forward to another good ride up there. :D

Thanks to Alcontrast, TT72, goofus, Happyseal and mtrdrms, my riding partner, for all the beta on dirt roads and "potential" big bike trails east of 95. 4.5 hours of saddle time covering ground I've been wanting to explore for a while now. Kept it pretty tame, but we did get a few sections of Hero II, lost track of how many side roads, WR's we rode past :cry

Can't wait for it to dry up a little more to go exploring :deal
