We road Richloam on Saturday. 11-3. Yes there were hunters but we kept it low key (low noise) and friendly. All went well :)

I almost thought this was for tomorrow, until I noticed it was posted a year ago:)

I recently bought a new-to-me DRZ400. I've had it a couple of months but haven't had a chance to ride it yet. The seller suggested Richloam.

I'm been in FL for six years (west Pasco) and have no dirt experience down here. I'm looking forward to checking out Richloam soon, even though it's getting into the worst time of year for dirt riding.

The problem is the best time of the year is unfortunately the same time as hunting season. Riding in Richloam during at that time is always interesting.

I always take the first few weeks of gun season off from riding. After that its usually OK during the week. Weekends can still be a problem though.

New to the forums, I know this is an old thread --- just checking to see if anyone has been riding Richloam recently?

I've got a new CRF250L, novice rider, been away from bikes for 10+ years but getting back into it. Rode Richloam once and ONF a few days a couple weeks ago, it was great.

I live about 35-40 miles from the main riding areas so I'm looking to trailer in. Last time I parked at the Withlacoochee Trailhead parking lot off of SR-50 and rode the few miles into the trails. I was completely unaware of what was there, thought I could practice and get a feel for the bike on some 'regular' dirt roads and magically found Richloam... but it was during hunting season. Now that open gun season is done I'm looking to take a half day off this coming Friday if anyone is around the area riding. As I understand it the Citrus WMA is also a good spot to ride? Same type of trails as the Richloam WMA?

I'll be poking around the forums, hopefully picking up some tips and tricks as I get a feel for my bike and where to ride around the area. If anyone doesn't mind riding with a 250 noob hit me up, otherwise I'll keep an eye out for you guys riding those monster 950s around the trails.
