I'll be hitting up Richloam this afternoon for a ride. Planning on heading that way around 12p, I'm going to try to find and park at the firetower on Richloam Clay Sink Rd south of SR-50 that I've seen mentioned in earlier posts. Hopefully this is still a good place to park, if it isn't or I can't find it I'll probably end up back at the Withlacoochee Trailhead a few miles down SR-50.

Maybe I'll see someone else out there riding.

Was up there earlier today and looks like lots of nice dirt roads. Saw some jeeps but no bikes and new to the area so wondering what the deal is up there bike wise? Looked like a decent place to plunk around on a dual sport or the like if it's legal and all.

Richloam is a lot of fun. Most of the dirt roads are legal streets so you need to have a plate. Also many of the trails will be flooded...you can try going through, around, or just turn back and take another trail. Now that hunting season is over I'm happy to go anytime just PM me.

I went up there to ride Friday afternoon, parked at the firetower, I was the only person there besides a couple forestry guys milling about the adjacent garage, no one so much as looked my way.

Got some good riding in, very dry, only had to turn around a couple times. I could see where there would be some very wet and deep spots during the summer. Seems like they were widening and Grading some of the main roads, ran into a couple of road graders but only saw one or two trucks, and nobody on the trails.

Slid out on a muddy rut in one of the trails, wasn't going too fast but fell on the right side and bent my brake pedal back over my footpeg. It was rideable but ended my day since I could barely keep my right foot on the peg and could definitely not stand up without pressing the brake. I managed to bend the brake pedal back most of the way as a short-term fix till I can get a new part.

I've got some stuff on my trailer that I'm hoping to unload this week so I can get back up there soon.

    Sounds good guys.
So far I just have a new 2017 Triumph Street Twin so have to stay on the main dirt roads and some less difficult jeep trails but looking at getting either a plated dirt oriented bike or perhaps something fluffier like a KLR,CRFL etc....Time will tell and I'll be back up there soon and perhaps we can hook up so I can get a feel for what roads lead where

I'd like to get up there for a ride Sunday AM -- working on unloading a vending machine from my trailer, hopefully it shouldn't be a problem.

I'm riding a CRF250L, if I'd be slowing you guys down on a faster paced ride let me know.

~70% that I can make it, anyone else in yet?

That was a fun ride, kept up a pretty good pace --- I'm feeling the 56 miles today. Hopefully we can get out there again sometime soon, thanks for leading the way.

I'm going to ride Richloam this Sunday 02/19, morning or afternoon works for me if anyone wants to meet up. Novice rider on a 250, won't be a crazy pace.

I think the Enduro and then Devils Creek are going on the next couple weeks? Conditions are good, weather should be good, send a message or reply here if you want to ride.

Planning a Big Girl DS ride in a few weeks any idea what South Grade looks like coming in from Bay Lake to the East?

Meh.. sand is no problem. Worried about black water holes; one of the riders is in the process of D/Sing a street twin that still has low pipes.
Last time I was there there was one hole on Elmer just before the turn onto Center.
