Chuck, you may want to check on whether they have a two night minimum. Fri and Sat.
Hey, I just finished rebuilding this, and took it for a ride.
It's not a dirt bike.
FWIW, for the longest time, all I ever read on this thread was road riding stuff. I guess the "pendulum is swingin' back the other way!" (RIP Steve C.)
VERY VERY NICE, looks like new !!! I always liked them. A really clean design and typical excellent Honda engineering.
SO fun. Buddy of mine has the barbie version. About a 1000 miles on it. Stock....original tires. Fun to ride but it isn't out of break in so I couldn't rev it up....
Check this one...Trellis frame VTR.
Pete you have some pretty cool projects, well done
Nice Pete. You paint it yourself???
If so he did a god damn good job, but it looks like a factory color scheme. I almost bought one of those 250 V-twin interceptors myself as a project a while back. You did a great job restoring that old girl, I'd rock the hell out of it. Neat little bikes. I really like the look of the enclosed front disc brake but I've heard that it was more prone to brake fade due to overheating than the open-disc models.
I would have to say, that is one of the best refurb jobs I have seen...nicely done!
Yep. Genuine garage paint job. Polyurethane clear coat on top. Takes half a lifetime to learn how to do it right, in your spare time.
I spent the last couple of hours tearing my GS apart to get to the air filter. Tomorrow, valves get adjusted and engine oil/filter, FD fluid, transmission fluid get changed...
As I was taking the bike apart, I kept laughing thinking to myself, how did I get mud all of the way up here!?
I had Guy do some work on my DRZ. One of the things he installed was 2" shorter dogbones...Now I need an expensive skidplate but it's worth it, I am much more comfortable on it being 2" lower.
Good for you. Looks nice. Assume the bike will show up at Poe's one Sunday?
Paint, and body work are things I've never been good at. Get too impatient and try to rush through the process.
Nice job Pete!
Yeah, what Guy said. I have the utmost respect for guys who can paint. I've tried, but it NEVER turned out really well. The only thing I've ever painted that came close to looking good were the wheels on the John Deere XS600. And those puppies took me three tries and two complete do-overs before I slowed down and got it right. I am not a painter.
Good job Pete. You da Man with a can.
Ex-Navy Seal, Chris Kyle, the most successful sniper in U.S. history with 225 kills (168 confirmed) has been shot and killed at a gun range, the suspect is in custody. I heard that that there was a $1,000,000 bounty on his life issued by Iran. Too bad. Whether you like his profession or not, countless members of our troops were kept safe and alive by him neutralizing bad guys.
More fodder for the antis, and we'll let it go at that.
And as Eddy said, RIP Chris. Thank you for your service to our country.
Sad day to lose another brother in arms.
OK peeps where is a good place for a Sunday brunch? and not far West End places. I live 3 miles from Chesterfield CH. So central Chesterfield, Chester, Petersburg locale would be nice
Joe's Inn in the fan has the best steak & eggs in town. The one in Bon-Air sucks when it comes to steak & eggs
Millie's across and down from Poe's is good, but I hate standing in line. Actually, speaking of Poe's it has gotten better. They use to suck on brunch and River City down there has a good brunch.
but the drive into town, one every couple of months is not bad. so my search for a local place continues.
Wild Rose's in Chester used to have a nice brunch. But Rose needs a day off
Steel Horse is ok, the cook needs to learn how to cook eggs They have screwed it up a couple of times
went into Sideline's Cafe last Sunday and got blasted by a loud sermon from a TV preacher
any suggestions for a mom & pop brunch place?
If anyone is still looking for a small dual-sport:
oH heck Freak, take a nice ride up to Hanover....Michelle's, the restaurant @ Hanover Tavern had awesome brunch....bout the only good thing there imho.
Great Bloody Mary's...
