Now is the time to buy, not stop buying. THings are cheap and prices are down, and historically the stock market will come back.

OK, just stumbled across this chatter thread...:clap I could relate all kinds of techie deals but they are numerous to say the least...in the coming days most retailers will get desperate...I'm eyeing Nvidia 9800 GTX + video cards(for the games) as well as UMPC's(thanks MiR!)...Asus Eee units are dropping fast as well as other's....also, moto sites like Motosport.com and rockymountainatv.com have deals like free shipping, coupons, discounts and all that...I just ordered from Rockymountainatv and got 10% off plus free 2-day shipping....:1drink

I got two weeks off so anyone want to get dirty or run the roads let me know....

I wouldn't mind getting together for a dual sport ride maybe on a Sunday....... Say we meet up on RT 60W at the Robert E. Lee wayside? Lets try to set up a ride. My SV is down until I can get a chain and sprockets and it will be good for me to get the DRZ out and about. :ear

Guy, Ultimate's got a purdy orange Wee on the floor, you know you want one.

I was THIS close to buying the black DRZ they have. That bike just looks like fun.

i don't think he's interested in the Wee, but if you looked closely at that Griso, you'd have seen the (ahem...spooge) dribblins he left on the seat...:rofl
I think Barry had to pry his fingers off the bars, and wipe the bike down after Guy left....:shog

but same story here when I sat on that Aprillia Dual sport....yeah baby...:clap :clap it's a TALL bike, and I have a short inseam... I kinda talked 3 octives higher for the rest of the day....:rofl :rofl

Pencil me in, took the XR out and the clutch is slippin'....I had ordered chain & sprockets but not a clutch kit...hopefully its cable related as I just installed ASV levers and have been messing with the free play....can't be worn out with only 5k on the clock or can it....:dunno

Sounds good. I just ordered my chain and sprockets for my SV. Went to a 520 o ring chain and one tooth larger on the rear sprocket. Can you say WWEEEEEELIE!?!? LOL. Retail was $190. I got them for $150 so I can't complain for a DID chain and metal sprockets.

Ultimate cycle tag gone. Figured I'd tag it since I was going anyway to get oil and filter. Finished just before dark. Brrr... Dang I swear it got a lot colder as the day went on. Never even turned on the vest during the ride with Jimmy this morning, but coming back from Ultimate a couple of hours later, I cranked that baby on. Toasty!

I wrenched a bit on the XR and headed out in search of a new tail light as the Acerbis POS was cracked, melted and generally un-reliable...ended up at Cycle Concepts. They were having an open house...free food, drink, snacks, deals on bit & pieces....killed a few hours there just hanging out talking bikes & rides....Donald(owner) fired up my favorite Superduke that they just installed Akrapovic's on....no baffles...Whoa :eek1 thats the appropriate sound for the ultimate hooligan machine! My checkbook was a bit light, phew...great way to kill the afternoon...should have the XR sorted tomorrow for a test drive.

ps - anybody looking to get a KTM better get on it, we sampled the MSRPs for '09 models, lets just say there is a price increase heading this way :deal

    CC still has a few choice 07/08 street models 950SE, 950SM, 950SM-R, Superduke(x2), RC8, 690 Enduro....plus a whole slew of dirt chuckers...anyway I love that place!

Let's just say that my only chance of getting one died when those folks from Ohio got my $200 mil. lottery ticket. :lol3 Glad ya had a good time and I wish I knew you were chillin' there at the open house, might have been able to swing by after getting my oil/filter from Ultimate. Oh well, next time!

Ok guys. Pete has laid down the gauntlet about just saying NO to quads. What say you? Since I've never ridden one, I dunno. Looks like fun, but do they do more harm to trails, parks etc, than good? Public nuisance or friend to the outdoorsman? :ear
