Hey guys. Just got in from the garage. Put a new can on the SV. HOLY smokes it sounds WhOA to say the least. It may be too loud for my liking and attract unwanted attention. Now that I've finished with my Craftsman Twin Cutter, torch and angle grinder I think I'll retreat to my couch. Now I'm just waiting for my chain and sprockets to come in before I can take it for a test ride.

Ended up sending the electric vest back. :cry Voltmeter showed it was too much for the system with the grip heaters on + the extra brakelights. I know, I know, but it was worth a try.

I'm thinking snowmobile suit now. Hope they make it in white 'cause I know how thick they are and I could look like the Stay-Puff Marshmellow man! :lol3

Well I ended up dragging the stock muffler apparently on RT 56 lol. It had a little rash on it and I didn't like it. It sounded like a sewing machine and I wanted a little throatier sound. Well I got more then I asked for now lol. I should post a clip of it ....You just can't even imagine.

Nope, the Woot camera I bought will be going to wife. Was originally for the daughter, but she wanted something (as per the wife) a little more. Trust the XSi will meet her needs and replace the 35 SLR she has now. Perhaps I'll set up the darkroom again.

Traffic? What traffic? We never made it to Gander Mountain, after a 190 mile ride to Powhatan (on very small roads and some dirt for good measure) to a closed for season restaraunt we had enough!! Had lunch at Rosa's Pizza in Flat Rock and headed home.

I got an "ART" carbon fiber can. It was made for a ZX-9 so I' had to make it fit. It looks damn good though. Sounds more like an I4 then a VTWIN though.

What a bummer! You should've slipped up to the courthouse and had lunch at the County Seat. Probably 90% of the business of the county is conducted there at breakfast and lunch! Great "home cooked" food, atmosphere, and prices. The owner and my momma grew up together, and they still use the old family recipies for most of thier stuff. No frozen "restaraunt supply" stuff there.

Next time you get a hankerin' for Powhatan, give me a shout.

The device converts the TV signal from your cable/satellite/terrestrial digital signal to a format your computer understands. Download a little SW, and you cannrecord the signal at your leisure.

No TIVO or Sat TV charges.

There have been simple devices to do this, but they required a lot configuration help and stuff. This thing makes it easy.

    Hey Roger,

I've resisted cable ever since I've been here. There was one poking up through the floor when we moved in, and I poked it down into the crawl space.

All of our TVs are pre-digital, so it was pick up a shite load of converter boxes and get marginal reception, or do the cable route. FiOS sounds better and since everything else we have in the telecom world is Verizon, figured what the heck. Also, Mindspring internet DSL is getting flaky, especially at night. Probably a Covad issue, but the signal just goes away and the modem has to to a search and re-train at least 10 times a night. That's BS, and there's no immediate "support" available. All they tell you to do is reboot your modem...... spoken in fluent Indie.

Downside is I will lose my email addy I've had forever....... but, life goes on, I guess.

Hope ya'll have a nice Xmas down that way. If you talk to Tommy, pass that along to him too.

Had to go to the DMV yesterday to get my license renewed** and transfer a title. There was a fellow there who just bought a new DRZ400 taking his driver's test. Jeans and a light jacket. They told him due to the cold and winds, he'd be taking the riding portion at his own risk. :rofl

He was happy as poo tho' and I mentioned the ADV "neighborhood" to him, so perhaps he'll be lurking and joining in one day.

** passed the visual with no specks, so finally got that off. Funny, I can fly a plane without glasses, but needed them for driving. Go figure.
