Be mindful about power. They like to eat. Awesome bombproof cam. As far as the chip recommendation go with the fastest land biggest. What ever go pro sells but shop around. I think mine is 32 gig and class 10. Good luck and congrats on the new toy.

What extras did you get? I might have a few extra pieces of hardware if you need it

Anybody need anything from Nashville besides Carrie Underwood...I have already got her in the truck. Had to bust out Mike Fisher's front teeth but he's a hockey player he's use to that. Glass jaw m****f****r!!! Can't fight without skates on... Lucky me for the lockout;-)

Also made a little money on the deal sold him a couple implants...

Looks like Jeff has plenty of inmates willing to help with his new toy. I'll say the most important part besides learning to turn it on and off, is figuring out how you will mount it. Helmet mounts give decent view but take a little adjustment to not be showing sky or ground only and tend to make even fast rides appear slow. Helmet mounts are also best at isolating vibration. Bike mounts to this side make for good shots with lots of feeling of speed but put the camera at risk if you fall. It can also be hard to isolate vibes.

For street use, I've found the suction cup mount to work beautifully attached to the left fairing. I can reach down and hit the start stop button easily and it gives pretty good footage. The mount is strong enough that I've never worried about it coming off. I can rock the bike on the side stand with it, and usually do to test before riding with it.

On my first go pro HD, I set it to one of the narrow fields of view for less fish eye effects. The same holds true for my Go Pro HD2 that replaced it. The wide angle 127 degeree fov, just makes any hill or curve look flat and doesn't allow you to see much detail on anything unless it is close up.

Anyone know of a nice place to eat in Scottsville? I routed a nice backroad ride there and would like to check out the brewery that opened recently. I plan to arrive for a late lunch on Sunday if anyone wants to join me for a ride (about 2 hrs).

    Starting from Patterson near Lauderdale.

Tavern on the james is good per my wife. Say hi to my old house. 308 bird st. Right downtown.

A great street is the street parallel to main 1 block west. Largest collection of federal architecture in one spot in the state!

Lots of.great roads out that way. My old stompin grounds.

I'll probably be at the BP on Patterson just past Lauderdale at about 11:15 to fill up and then I'm off. No off-road today but good twisty backroads all the way there.

not enough time to make that one.. have fun though.

Micchub, anybody? I'm looking to roll out of Chester about an hour. (noon) I might do a southern loop. Around Lake Chesdin or something but I can easily be swayed.
