I need to find more possible places to eat lunch(es). :dg You know, little greasy spoons that don't require riding into a traffic laden town....there's so many nice country roads that it would be great to have 'out of town' lunch stops too. Anybody have some spare anti-cholesterol pills they can send me while I scout? :lol3

    Thanks.

...but...I'm thinking more over in this circled area without going into one of the circled towns, not sure if finding a decent place to eat in that area exists or not. :dunno

Riverview grocery at Hwy 321 & Guy Ford Rd. has Great burgers etc. (only a couple of picnic tables outside, no inside seating) Kayakers keep them busy.

There's also a place on Hwy 167 that popular with the locals...I'll have to check on the name. It's a mile or so on the left, going towards Mtn City from Fire Tower Rd. And another one on Dry Hill Rd, but I don't remember the name there either.

There's a little BBQ joint on 421 about 1/2 mile east of the intersection of 167/421

In Trade, TN there's a place called Sharpie's on 421

Of course there's food on top of Beech Mtn, but you probably meant to put an X over that area too.

There are a few sites on the creek. And the best thing is, the creek is stocked weekly with thousands of keeper size trout (right from the bridge at the entrance) :deal.

Did I say I like trout? :norton

Again, I'm in the area and will sweep any ride needed. I have every type of bike in my garage, other then a crotch rocket...

This is my back yard and we will get Fuzz involved also.

In case any of you local guys are interested.

The Mountain Trail Riders Association meeting is Thursday at 7:00pm at the Mountain City courthouse. http://www.mtntrailridersassoc.org/index.shtm

I went to their fundraiser for the Doe Mtn OHV park this past Saturday. I ate a couple free hotdogs, bought a few T-shirts, & joined the group. Most of them ride 4 wheeler (both kinds, with steering wheels and with handlebars), but there were a good number of guys on bikes. I'm looking forward to riding at Doe Mtn, but I'm especially hoping to make connections with riders who know the private and/or "top secret" trails. I don't know if that will pan out, but they are a good group and doing a great service for the trail riders here.

Btw, I went scouting this past weekend and found a couple promising trails. I ran into dead ends on them and need to go back with a GPS and a chainsaw, if the GPS says it would be worthwhile. Anybody with a gps wanna help? Shoot me a PM.

I'll probably still be pavement only, or sort of. Looks like less picnic tables to sleep on, though. Might have to pony up for a tent this time.

    Cuttle,

I'm an off-road enthusiast from Maine who runs an Moto Adventure company out of Peru, South America looking to share what we do. Is this the event for that kind of thing?
