You suck. I'm neck deep in Constitutional Law.
crickey! enjoy a nice spring day!
I reserved the creekside cabin. See you on Thursday evening.
What? It's time already?
Depends. Are you gonna show up for this one?
Looking good for me to have a nice ride to and from this year. Should be able to get out for the better part of two weeks, with the RDV in the middle of it. Now, where shall I ride?
Right on. Let's hope a picnic table is your worst injury this time too.
Did I ever get registered for this? PP took out the funds but still not on the list.
sorry about that - yes you did, I just haven't updated the in-and-paid list in a while (been riding)
and I still have to figure out how I got you folks to answer the questions you are supposed to be linked to after you pay... so, if you paid but didn't fill out the shirt thingy please follow this link
I am new to Dual Sports. Got my 2012 BMW G650GS last month and only have 1,600 miles on it. About 400 miles have been on dirt roads / trails. Almost all of my previous riding has been on pavement. 40,000+ miles in last 10 years. I am interested in this Rally because I like to camp on my motorcycle and haven't spent much time in NE Tennessee. The area sounds great. (I also like beer, the darker the better) ;-)
My question is this: Will the rides be too technical for me or are there some easier rides with mixed pavement & dirt roads?
You'll be good. There will be a lot of people / rides (including me) that stick to pavement and tame gravel.
Thanks for the info. Sounds Great! Count me in!!
See you there.
400 miles of off road? You'll be fine on my ride. The wildest my ride will get will be some decently steep gravel (nothing to horrible at all) and some mud if it rains, which it will, because it does every year.
Is the deluxe cottage (3bdrm) where Ricks family will be staying or is that available for some couples to share? If it is open, How much would that be for all 3 nights?
Hey Scott, where's that Ride Report you and Keith owe us?
Well since neither Keith or myself are great at writing or willing to dedicate a lot of time to it. I'll do one real quick right here.
We rode to Alaska, We saw a lot of beautiful scenery and lot's of bears, several moose and a few elk. We did 12.5k miles in 26 days and it was wonderful I'd love to go back.
Here is a link to my photobucket page it has all my pics from Ak. The first couple are from 2012 RDV. http://s172.photobucket.com/albums/w30/scotchman_d/bike%20trips/?albumview=slideshow
Did some editing on photobucket and replaced the link.
looking forward to spring now and back to the Rdv. and BYOB and hopefully a few other rallies next year.
