Yup, me too...
I was in TN last week and it was in the 70's all week. Came home Sat. to 31 degrees and freezing rain with 6" of snow still in the yard. Why did I come back. (oh yeah, to help pay taxes and close the billion$ gap in the state budget)
Once we get past a cool day on Sat, the forecast for the following week is looking up I'm ready for some real spring weather to start...
There was some chatter about BBQ stops earlier on. There is a great spot right off 91 exit 4 in Putney, VT. Left off the ramp if headed north and its up on the right next to a gas station. If you blink, you'll miss it. OR.....Route 2 in Bethel, ME. Heading east, little BBQ shack trailer in a parking lot on your left across from good sized gas station on the right. Both places have awesome food. I think the place in Maine is called the Wicked Good BBQ, lol.
May 7th last year. BBQ in Bethel, Maine......can't wait!
BBQ is the last thing on my mind when we go to Maine.... Lobstah
The Rising Tide Restaurant, 96 King St., Scarborough, Maine 04074
Sorry guys, but I can't stand seafood.........I know.
This place is on my side of the border just a few miles north to my north...
Warren makes great ribs!
Think I may head over to Wood's Pit in Bantam Saturday for lunch. Right off the best m/c road in Litchfield County - Route 109!
can I still chime in after I move to Tennessee?
That rib place in VT off exit 4 is called Curtis Ribs. Very good, but I doubt they are open yet. Outside dining only. I had a good meal at Little Mark's Big BBQ in Vernon CT, but the stuff in Tennessee is to die for.
Curtis' All American Bar-Be-Que in Putney. There's also
Top of the Hill Grill BBQ in Brattleboro.
Both have the same ratings/reviews. Don't know which one is better.
I agree-great road. I also like 132 and 199 when I'm short on time.
Two more good ones!
Having had both on multiple occasions I would pick Top of the hill over Curtis'.
But when in that area I would pick Pitstop BBQ in NH on 12 west of Keene
Its 730 in the morning and all i can think about is bbq. Dinosaur BBQ in Stamford, huge parking lot, bigly location, and the best bbq I've had in the Northeast.
Is the Little Taste of Texas still in Windsor, CT??? I think it was Windsor?........been awhile.
Bear's Smokehouse barbecue in Windsor CT route 75 close to Bradley Airport pretty good
