Isn't that how some of the best adventures in your life start. Kind of like staring out a window one day and saying, bugger it, I'll ride around the world on a motorcycle.

Well the old ball and chain is heading back to meet me in Budapest she didn't last long without me, I suppose I cant blame her she misses her stud :lol3:lol3 I've booked us into a nice comfy apartment for a few days of reacquainting time, don't really know why I booked it for 3 days its only going to take 2 minutes but hey you got live in some sort of fantasy world.

For me I've been stuck in this beautiful northern region of Hungary at a bikers campsite hotel and its been great http://www.magyarroute66.hu/index_uk.html if any of you are ever over this way stop in for a stay its a beautiful relaxing part of the world you wont be disappointed if you spend a few days here by the pool. Get Leen the Dutch owner to take you for a ride around there is some great riding to be had as well. I had never heard of it till the other week riding across Poland when I came across another Dutch rider who put me on to it and I'm so glad he did I've really enjoyed my time here, Ill probably bring Ev back here for a few days to enjoy the sun by the pool as its only a 160 kilometer's and 2 hours ride from Budapest.

My 3 month Schengen visa is running down but at this stage its looking likely ill kill 3 months out here in Romania Serbia Croatia etc no problems so then will be right to come back in, the cost of living is great here cheap as the most I've paid for a room is 19 bucks so when your not moving to far you get your budget under control real quick.

Unfortunately we have already left Budapest Goston thanks for the offer anyway, next time through we will have to catch up for a beer in one of the many bars and restaurants around town, how good is this city for action, I was talking to Ev today about Budapest and now I know why her best friend Asia wants to move home to Poland with her new husband after living in Budapest for almost 10 years, there are a lot less threats to a relationship in Poland :lol3:lol3

Good news Ev did bring a brand new camera and phone Scott so what better way to check it out than get straight into the swing of things, the quality of the phone is pretty bad then again I don't know maybe its just me not recognizing the true quality of the photo, you do get a bit picky after awhile. Anyway look at the lazy thing there is only one thing for it and that's wake her up to pack the bike.

I bet you guys thought I was joking about waking her up to pack the bike, hey no use letting her get used to taking it easy.

While travelling around the world one of the common questions you have to ask is it safe to drink the water, well this is my public announcement to all those travelers coming to Hungary, yes it is safe to drink out of the water fountains and to prove it I thought it important to show photographic evidence just in case there were any skeptic's out there.

I suppose I better post a picture of a some nice old gothic building (Parliament House Budapest) to show I'm not totally single minded. If I spent to much time in Budapest I think I'd have to find a nice cemetery for Ev to visit on a regular basis.

Its a nice view of Budapest overlooking the Danube River from up at the Buda castle.

And from down on the Danubes waters edge

You have to be careful in Budapest, danger lurks at every corner and they hunt in packs. If you come here and get attacked don't say you weren't warned. On my first day in town I was accosted, I went out three more times that day trying to see if it would happen again but wasn't in luck.

Ok better try the new camera out. There is one group of the girls here in Hungary that have a very distinct and common beauty and this young one working in the local pizza China restaurant had it written all over her, If you have been to this country or region you will have noticed this look, it certainly is beautiful, and don't start I know she is to young for me she's probably to young for my son but it doesn't stop you admiring such things, now where's that cemetery for Ev.

Cruising along on the back highways of Hungary and happened on to a load of signs not knowing what was going on and it turns out it was the World Enduro GP so asked one of the guys if there was any Australians involved and he took me over to meet Daniel Sanders a young bloke from Victoria out there slugging away with only a little recognition https://www.facebook.com/danielchuckysanders/

Off to scrutineering. Daniel was telling me the World tour is down to only 60 riders now as there has been a big downturn in support from around the world which is a shame but with the cost of off road bikes so high these days its easy to understand why the numbers of juniors coming through is going through the floor but he also said the regulations so many countries have on the racing of the bikes in places now makes it difficult for the tour.

Never followed EnduroGP, but looks pretty awesome! Here is the Hungary summary, including some stunning Umbrella work (1:10)!
