Mirror Lake Colorado
This is pretty cool to see. I came from the Tincup side back in June. The lake water level had flooded the road to St. Elmo via Tincup pass. Did you make it through?
Here is what I encountered. The road is on the left side of the lake.
We made it just fine as far as water. A lot of lose rocks. We rode from St. Elmo's over Tincup and it was a little rough. Guy at the store said they had a lot of rain this year and made it a harder ride than usual.
A couple weeks later I was back in Tincup. Had lunch at the BBQ place. Did you stop there during your pass through? Very friendly folks running the place.
Nope. We stopped at the store and used the "100 year old outhouse" and took off toward Taylor Park and later Pitkin.
Gotchya. I was camped at the NF campground in Pitkin in late June. I'm already ready to go back!
