Living in Toronto, it's hard to truly understand a place where the temperatures are hovering around 30 °C year round, but the idea sure sounds tempting. After a chilly adventure in Newfoundland in the "summer" (at least that's what they call it here), I was yearning for something warm and fuzzy. So at the end of October, when the summer was completely gone and the winter magic was still a couple of months away, we found ourselves on the first direct flight to Curaçao, in the southern Caribbean. Many photos to go through but here is a small sampler. The transportation of choice: a pair of rented scooters When we were not riding, we were scuba diving. There were also beautiful beaches. There was the city of Willemstad, with colonial architecture and its pontoon bridge. There was lots of fine dining in the evenings. And some mountain climbing in the daytime. It often rained, but only for a short time. We took some roads less travelled by. And saw some odd things. But it was so awesome, I still regret taking the flight back home :) Stay tuned!
