Just got home from a trip to Alaska which included a ride on the Dempster Highway. I was lucky enough to meet a great group of riders and a few of their spouses on the Dempster Highway. Below are a few of the photos from the ride. All the photos from the Dempster Highway trip and the ability to download the high resolution images may be viewed here: http://www.merciez.com/photos/2016/Alaska/Dempster Highway/album/#

Thanks again to team Willow Billie for accepting me in their group and more importantly, to Wendy2 for rescuing me from the arctic tundra......

Matt, Which was a more enjoyable ride, the Dalton or Dempster?
Anybody ride a 350 or lower cc bike?

A guy left Monday I think it was on a Honda Reflex 250cc scooter for Deadhorse. Haven't heard if he made it.

Both the Dempster Highway and Dalton Highways were great rides. Each has unique qualities that may make one highway more preferable than the other. I was pleasantly surprised with the beauty of the Dalton Highway. I like wide open spaces. Once you get past the Brookes mountain range on the Dalton, the road is very open with vast views. The Dempster highway once past the McKenzie river has somewhat restricted views due to brush growth on the edge of the road. You will not regret riding either highway.

Have any problems getting flats? Was getting fuel ever a concern?
