Fun ride report, Mr. Bum!
I really enjoyed it!
Great report enjoyed it every morning after wake up.
The only sad about is that each journey comes to an end. Coming home is great. Leaving home for a trip is greater .
If you start a now one please add a coment and a link in this report so we can track your omlett run again.
Thanks for sharing
Welcome home! Thanks for sharing the report, t'was great entertainment and photos!
Glad you made it home! Thanks for sharing your adventures and breakfast with us!!
Here's the bike's home. All warm and dry. And dried mud.
a few miles on the trip
it had 601 miles the day I left for breakfast. what's up with that.
at this rate I'll pass the car's mileage shortly
picture's fuzzy (I was nervous taking it) because the new law in Tucson about dash photos while driving. That's a 3 treat penalty. No walks for two days.
Clean the bike.
New chain and sprockets.
New K&N Air Filter. I don't clean it, I just toss it. Old one is dirty. OEM Paper element passes fines thru. Learned that in 2013.
Check Valve clearances and stuff.
Get side bags I don't hate.
Go do my annual moonless canyon trip mid-October (no ride report) will have the new rain fly with me to test. It probably won't rain. Don't get stuck in the mud.
Then I'll be all physically fit for my annual check up. Expecting the same speech.
Doc: Dave your blah blah blah levels are elevated.
Doc: What did you eat two days before the blood was drawn?
Doc: How much Salmon?
Dave: How much is too much?
Doc: Moderation, Dave. Moderation. (with that professional, but concerned look)
Dave: Thanks doc! See ya next year. I don't need help off this really high, cold stainless table.
I don't remember getting my share of the breakfast omelette....as a dedicated and daily omelette-lover I don't think I would have missed that!
As long as it is still happy, everything's good!
Enjoyed the read. Thanks.
If you look for soft lugguage - what about Magadan paniers?
Or the Xcounty panier usedby the Rolling Hobbo.
Really like that 701! Thanks for sharing your trip!
Oh and I like my Wolfmann expedition dry bags!
breakfast of champions, that one!
Thanks for letting me hang out with you for a few days!
Bags need to be completely removable via quick release, no over seat straps.
Mosko Moto 35L too big, so
BMW Atacan 25L next option
Quick release system from Wolfman 3rd option
Next to last option - hard luggage
Last option - Sell the bike
Enjoyed your report. Thanks!
Ah,the seat comes back up like heartburn. The pal with the 701 tried the Seat Concepts fix, unfortunately its harder then the stocker so hes still wondering what will be more magical.
Alaska Leather butt pad used to be on my DR650 till I swapped an SC seat to an inmate for a Sargent Seat. Best Seat Ever,no doubt from the 1st ride. Foam be Joooooossst right. 600 miler easy.
Thanks Much for the Report!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#1
