    Hi Folks,

I’d like to introduce my company, Gracie’s Gold, to the good folks here on Adventure Rider. Gracie is my niece, by the way. Cute, too. :D

The high price of gold and silver has brought all sorts of scam artists into this industry. The layman has normally no idea what a fair price is for his unwanted gold and silver. The scam artists know this, and try to take every penny they can from the unwitting public.

I’ve been on AdvRider just about since the beginning. I’ve been a moderator (Ride Reports, the Flea Market, and Equipment) from 2006 till 2010. Many of you know me, and trust me. Many of you have already done business with me; my sincere thanks to you. :bow

First of all, what do I buy?

    Rings, chains, earings,

    All sorts of gold jewelry:

    Dental gold:

Tell the truth: are you really wearing your class ring?

    Sterling silver

    Silver (and gold) coins

I also do gold house parties. Yeah, like Pampered Chef, but where the attendees (and the host) make money instead of spending it. :D

Here’s gold from one of my recent parties:

    and here’s the happy host:

I also do fundraisers for various organizations. Here’s the gold from a baseball team going to nationals. The parents sold their gold and got top tier returns, plus the team got a sizeable commission to support their trip expenses.

I can also buy platinum (for example, from dental bridges), gold nuggets (from mining), and other precious metals. Please contact me if you have questions.

    Me vs the competition

My policy is to return to the customer in the top tier of what gold buyers in my area pay.

I routinely perform assessments of what the competition is paying. I (or a friend) take a sample of known gold into the scrap gold store fronts.

I then compare their payouts to mine. While this chart indicates I’m the highest guy around, I can’t say that with statistical certainty, as I haven’t sampled everyone in town. What I can say is that I’m clearly in the top payout tier.

I estimate that 50% to 75% of the gold buyers are ripping people off. :cry

My promise to the AdvRider community:

    - I will pay in the top tier of my competition

    - I will accurately weigh your items

    - I will analyze the gold / silver content in your items to the best of my ability (I’m a retired chemical engineer. The chemistry is a snap to me.)

    - I’ll return any items which aren’t gold or silver.

    - I’ll generally return gemstones, although if there are too many in your jewelry, I may charge a nominal fee. (Some of them are a real pain to remove).

In addition to paying top tier pricing,

    - I will give the AdvRider community a 10% bonus for your gold and silver.

    - I’ll also give bonuses for large quantities of gold / silver. For example,
o for any gold sample over 100 grams, I’ll add a 5% bonus.
o If you have a larger amount, we’ll discuss on a case by case basis.

Please contact me through your method of choice:

    - Private Message

    - Or email, info@graciesgold.com

I humbly thank you for your consideration.

My GF made a small inheritance last year with a handful or two of ugly gold jewelry. Looking at the gold price, I'm happy we didn't get around cashing it in immediately. :D

Sending it to you over the pond is probably not a good idea. And who wants Dollars, anyway? :lol3

Oh, and what Jurgen says. Leo's good people.

    Wow.

    :shog

Flood, for you, I'd fight the shipping, importation, and currency conversion hassles on a gold deal. But only for you. :deal

    Thanks for the inquiry.

No, I don't. The quantity of gold in those dimms is better suited for recovery by those specializing in it. I'd need a technical solution to offer that service.

Hmmm. Maybe I should research that... :scratch

I've been getting some stuff from Advriders that I thought you'd find interesting. As these are financial transactions, I'm keeping their names in confidence.

Proving that no amount of gold is too small, here something I received recently.

Yeah. Just a small, broken gold chain. But that's exactly what my service is for. To help folks monetize gold and silver that's not being used.

I also received some massive amounts of silver recently. A 13 pound box, followed by a 5 pound box.

    :eek2

    Batch 1:

    Batch 2:

Here's a pic of some of the melted silver. That metal "spike" is the sample of the silver melt taken with a glass capillary for analytical testing.

Suffice it to say, Batch 1 and 2 amounted to several thousand dollars. :eek1

Another recommendation for Leo here! Leo gave me a great price on some old silverware we had laying around gathering dust. He also spent a great deal of time checking over a bunch of worthless plated stuff at no charge. Fast, easy, great price, ....... Don't take a chance on getting ripped off. Send it to Leo!

    Feedback after dealing with Leo:

After several months of procrastination I finally got around to sending my scrap gold to Lobby. He was very responsive in with his communication, evaluated my gold and sent me a check very quickly. I am very happy with my dealings and would not hesitate to recommend him to friends, family and ADV Inmates. :deal

How about platinum? I have some platinum wire from industrial high temperature sensors, I sold one to a local gold place, not sure if I got a good deal, I have another one to sell.
