My condolences to Kurt's family and friends.
A very sad day....
Was just a few weeks ago that I watched him race and bust tires at ISDE. What a terrible loss for his friends and family. Godspeed Kurt.
Woke up this morning clueless. Turned on the computer . . .
I hope that is was not a booby trap. The sadness is unbearable but at least their will be no anger. I love and admire the way the man lived. 56M
Sad, sad, sad news!!!! :-(
I'm glad to hear from those who are there that it wasn't a trap. The loss is obviously no less, but somehow it still matters.
Has me hoping it was enviro terrorists but probably just some other lone scum bag
This sad, terrible news put a damper on my day. Best wishes to his family and loves ones. I had hoped he'd be the first american to win Dakar.
Kurt was an extremely talented moto racer, a gentleman and an all around nice guy.
You will be missed my offroad brother.
Rest In Peace Kurt
Im totally stunned by this terrible news.
My condolences to family and friends. He seemed to be such a nice guy, so humble too.
A true great is no longer with us.
He may have hit an animal. I am sure that the cause of the accident will get cleared up soon enough......
Can we stop the booby trap crap now?
The team, who have now recovered Kurt's bike discovered traces on the machine that indicate he had collided with some small animal, which apparently caused the crash.
Read Taylor's report & debunk of the booby trap crap.
Taylor is on Facebook, Instagram & twitter. Read the truth there - no more guessing or unfounded rumors.
Peace & respect - to Kurt, family & all the OffRoad race community.
Truly a sad Day!
we were out riding today and trying out the new to me KTM 300
and heard this out on the trails...I was like "come again"
and just could not believe it...
prayers and condolences to family and friends.
What a tragic loss to the off road racing community. So much talent. And seemed like a super nice guy.
