Here's a real road block from England today ..... Check the Motorcycle under the knock down foot bridge over the M20 Motorway in Kent - unbelievably this guy jumped off to avoid the impact and is currently in hospital
Bypassed because we had ridden to far to hit this stretch of road and we ran into this...... worth going around and through
Here are a few of the road hazards I came across on my recent ride to Guatemala. This is just north of the city of Oaxaca in Mexico. There is (was) a teacher strike going on there. Violence escalated, and from what I understand, nine people died here. The first photo is a New York Times photo These photos are from my trip. There were still road blocks and I had to detour through double track dirt roads to get to this point. The same bus from the first photo but I came upon the scene from the opposite direction. The gist of the sign calls upon the president to find the murderers, we want justice Another strike roadblock in Chiapas just north of the La Mesilla border crossing to Guatemala. I was able to squeeze by on the left side by the white van. The upside was that I was the only one crossing to Guatemala when I got to the border. About 15 miles into Guatemala I came across this. Quite common after it rains....which is like every day during the wet season. The green foliage in the road is the Guatemala version of orange cones.
