That pic also gets the USA College Sports Tag. Drop it at Va Tech. Or VWCC. Or...
RAT is under the siding on the side that faces the road. Pushed her up in there a couple of inches, you cannot see her if you are standing there.

For myself, it is hard to believe that this Tag Game is not yet one year old. Great having it, one of my favorites. Thank you to the op!
Had a feeling this was going to be a good game. LOTS of fantastic riding in that area. Wish I could get in the middle of it more.
I hate churches. I always feel like I'm going to be smote
My riding area is usually the northern part of the NC-NC game and the southern part of the Roanoke game. I wish the NCNC game had something like the rat to drop off, does away with the file tags.
Warning: Opposing viewpoint on file tags alert!!!
I like using file tags as it gives me a chance to drop a tag instantly in another part of the region and let someone else have an immediate shot at it. The "you have to ride to play this game" argument is specious. I rode to get the tag, the file tag and someone gets a quicker chance to ride to get the new tag. It keeps games moving much more quickly. Look at the VA game to see one that gets ground to a halt more than any other game I play.
I love riding in a lot of parts of VA and have some great pics all over the southern half of the state. If I go grab the VA tag, I have to place it on the return ride home. By definition, it's not going to move much. The folks that weren't chasing it due to its location still aren't going to be chasing it. I've seen that game sit for over a month on a good number of occasions.
The Triangle game that I live in the middle of, in contrast, can move a half dozen times/day. Personally, I'd much rather see an active game than one that sits due to being mired up in a ridiculous rule.
You've got a good point, I too had rather see it moving more. I actually thought it wasn't moving because there just wasn't that many active members. When the spot gets moved farther away there are different people playing it, good point.
This particular tag is on one of the absolute best riding roads in the area. Fantastic scenery, fantastic road. Best to access from US 460. North Fork Road. Lots of tight turns and not a lot of traffic. Church is on the right if you enter from 460.
Interesting points, WB, and some truth in what you say. But really, the "no file photo" rule is there to promote the whole idea of these game, which is to get folks out to ride. Its kinda oxymoronic to say a game is "active" just because it moves around a lot, but when the tags are "file tags" and posted without getting out and riding, how "active" is that? I only wish I had more time these days to get out and ride. When I retire again, I think I'll designate one day a week as Moto Day and then I can play some Tag
I guess I must be missing something. I see this argument against file tags all the time and always end up scratching my head. When file tags are used, they are only used to place a tag, not to get a tag. So when a tag moves, someone rode right then to get the tag. The tag doesn't move without someone riding to get it.
Also, at some point they had also ridden to get the file photo used to place the tag.......
Going to reiterate a lot of what BlueM00se said above, but file tags are only used to place a new tag once someone has ridden to get the existing tag.
Example: You post a tag of something. I ride to get that tag, but instead of spending hours/days getting a new one, I've got some great shots in my "unused tags" folder on Photobucket. I can post a great, new tag instantly that may or may not be near the one I just rode to get. The rest of the players in the game instantly have another one to go get. And once that one has been grabbed, I have another shot at a new one. Pretty funny as well as pretty hectic when it's a nice day and there are folks riding all over the boundaries of the Triangle Tag game bouncing the thing all over during a single day. As opposed to the VA game where it might move a dozen times/year...
Except in the instance of last New Year's Eve when a handful of folks were tagging stuff in their garage in one of the wildcard games...
Fortunately in our region, if you play the NC-NC Tar game you can take your pick as we have one of each going.
I play a dozen or so off and on. Some have mascots, some don't. Some allow file tags, some don't. There's plenty for everyone, I just like some better than others.
I imagine today the rat was actually frozen solid. Now, time to plan my first rat grab/tag on video
Smote/Schmote. Grab it on a Saturday. No church folk around then. Looked to me that even on Sunday, not a lot of folk will be there. And that is a shame, INMHO. We can all use a little churching, and you can sure meet a bunch of nice people at any church, but small rural ones are special.
I must not be very good at this game. I still have not found the location of this tag.
If anyone wants to help the challenged a pm would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance Steve
Now all I need is a hall pass.
Don't tell me the rat has fallen and she can't get up. Do we need to Call Now for the special limited time offer? :eek1
New tag can be found at the coordinates: 37.26322N, 80.467317W
The RAT is in a hole at the base of the tree
It's hard to see but the tree the RAT is in is snapped in half
The entrance to this road is steep, rutted, and slightly gnarly. After that the road is loose gravel with the occasional rut thrown in.
If the general consensus is that this is too hard then I'll go move it!
