I'm a big fan of Gordon's driving spirit/skills and American bad a$$ attitude. But just look at the standings in the last decade. How often has a 2 wheel drive won Dakar? Heck, just look at the top 5 of this year or even Robbie's standings. If he wants to win, he needs to drive a 4 wheel driver period.

Without the roll he'd have been on the podium. I think the buggy has merits.

Any shots of his KOH rig?

Last year I remember something about blowing an engine more than leaving his co-driver. Although leaving them is not that uncommon in qualifying and after the last big obstacle before the finish.

He blew the engine early into the race after qualifying well the day before. I think he got top 5 in qualifying? The engine was kinda tired before the race started and didn't make it more than 17miles into the main event.

He blew the motor in the middle of a dry lakebed , got in a helo and left the co-driver waiting for a tow . Such is the life of RG :lol3

Oh....I meant the stinger bar, not the car itself.

The stinger bar might have kept Robby rubber side down in the dunes.
