Ive got a start on the DR 650 Rally Style Bash Plate with the two built in tool boxes.

Its made out of 5mm 5083 Alloy with the base sides and front all one peice and bent into shape. Its fully tig weleded and has recessed rear mounts and offers great protection for the engine , leavers and feet.

Ive just got to test it with the staintune pipe and check it width with the Safari 32L tank and give it a test run and then its all go.

Holy crap, that thing looks damned heavy duty. Almost afraid to ask what one would cost shipped to the US...

From the pictures, I wonder if there might be a foot clearance issue for those inmates who have long feet.

Im in the process of building 5 of them at the moment so I let you know when there ready to go and if all goes well that will be mid next week.

You an get the filter out with the bash plate on so I just have to mark up the drain hole and it'll be all good.
