Hello all. I just moved to the Denver area from Texas. I ride street and dirt and I'm really looking forward to exploring some trails here. I have a Speed Triple for the street and my wife rides an FZ6R. For trails I have a Honda NX250 and a street legal WR426 with both tard and dirt wheels. Currently my WR has an insanely loud exhaust on it, so I'm looking for something quieter that I can get a spark arrestor for.

I can't wait to get out and meet some people to ride with and show me good spots. I'd also like to get into camping from the bike.

I've been lurking and researching for a month or two and figured I would post up on here. @Geek pointed me here for getting into the hobby. I've been in CO for two years, owned a few street bikes, bought and sold a ZR7 last year, wanted a bike but quickly realized I wanted to get into more dirt and exploring, now it'll take some of the beatings off my truck by getting a bike. No motorized bike experience offroad.

Searching for something geared towards multi-day trips as well as double and easier single track. Tax man had to be paid this week, but hopefully I can score a BMW FS/GS or KLR to get out there with sooner than later.

Been trying to find other trail/backwoods enthusiasts (SE Wyo) Riding a KLR for years and with some major life changes I hope to get out more and travel. Health reasons are forcing the sale of my Harley, but need to fab a hack so I can ride the KLR still and bring the K9 and gear.

New to the forum and adventure riding. I've been riding street for about 10 years and recently realized there is a whole lot of world that is out there to explore on dirt! I am looking at selling my Victory Kingpin and getting something that will handle both my daily commute (only about 10 miles) and get me out on the 4wd trials to my favorite camping and fishing spots. I've been doing a lot of reading and browsing and have been to the dealer a few times. My leanings go to to the F800GS, Tiger 800XC, and the good old KLR. I'm on a budget as I sure most are, so I'll have to find used. I have not been able to try all of them out yet to get a good feel, but look forward to it as soon as I can get the timing right. I've learned a lot already from lurking here over the last few weeks. I'm glad to join the group and hope to be able to help someone else at some point too.

Hello from Denver. I'm new to the forum but not to bikes. I've been riding for most of my life. most of my over the road riding is on Harleys and I have about 600,000 miles on those bikes. I've also done some Flat track and Desert racing. I purchased a 2009 BMW GSA in 2009 and rode it quite a bit. I sold that bike in 2012. I've just purchased a 2016 LC GSA. There's a night and day difference between the 2 bikes. I'm really enjoying it. Be safe.

Hello from Castle Rock/Fort Collins! Got a 2013 Tenere this past March! Coming from a Kawasaki Versys the big ADV bike is a nice change! I am usually up in Fort Collins (school)! Grew up riding dirt on older Honda XR's, but I love the street!

Headed to Newfoundland in 4 weeks!

Hi everyone! Still lurking around for the most part but figured an intro of sorts belonged in here somewhere. New to riding at all, looking to make my first bike purchase in the next 6-12 months ideally with the goal of making long trips into the national parks. Central Wyoming, mom of 2 (who desperately want to ride with me someday), small business owner, worker of two jobs to make ends meet up. Enthusiastic and ready to ride as soon as I can get out there!

    Hello thread.
I've already posted in here once a couple years back, but I'm doing a reintroduction.
Been in Fort Collins for a while. I just picked up a DR350 and am looking to get in on some easy group rides in the Roosevelt NF or other good stuff near Fort Collins. I'm pretty slow and don't have much interest in technical stuff, if there's a bunch that can accommodate that riding style around here.

    Hi all,

Wanted to say hello. Just moved to the Denver area and have been exploring around (paved mostly). Need to get the dirt wheel on the XR650R ASAP and play in the dirt.

    Cheers,
    John

Welcome to the forum! Hurry and get the dirt wheels on and you will have plenty of time to explore the dirt before the cold white stuff blows in!

Greetings all! Been around a while, sold my 04 KLR last summer and after 43 years of riding, thought I was done with bikes for a while. That is until I rented a GS for a memorial ride this summer. Just wow, fell like a stone. What a great bike, I had no idea. Now the proud owner of this Darth Vader looking beast and cant wait to see you guys on the trails. KS GS 3.jpg

Had motorcycles of some kind most of my life. This is my first dual sport. Purchased in June. I'M IN LOVE! I also have the Tourtech side boxes, just not pictured. Also, have new tires.

Hi all. I'm hoping to move out to Colorado some time later this year, from my current stomping ground in Cambridge UK. That's a rather determined "hoping" as my better half is already there, but my visa hasn't come through yet. Riding around on a KLX250 at present, but I probably won't be shipping that across - always fancied a KLR so I'll probably be getting one the second my plane lands. But anyway, my old UK bike forum of choice is getting pretty rubbish lately so I thought I'd get a head start on here.

Welcome to the area. Hopefully you can get the Visa problem sorted out before that gets ****** over again.

Hello all! I live in Littleton, CO and have just bought my first bike, a 2015 V Strom 650. Looking at the riding community landscape here, figuring out where to connect for some great rides, socializing. Will welcome any information, questions, etc.

So far I love the V Strom, it's a good starter for me. I plan to do mostly road and some dirt.
