Win7 sucks when it comes to drivers ... i fight those regularly. Bluescreens and all.

I can't wait to see the suck 8 has to offer when it's crammed down our throats from IT. :puke1

I haven't had any issues with 7 yet, though I think that is just because I can manipulate the settings to basically work like xp. Granted, 90% of my job is in excel(which office 2010 rocks!) so the os doesn't matter all that much. I don't foresee us switching to 8 anytime soon, so hopefully we are in the clear. Now if I could just get our business system and excel to work at full potential on my iPad I wouldn't have to go to work at all! Well, i guess they would have to let me telecommute as well. A guy can dream!

The force is strong with this one, until you work for a large enough company that will not go to the dark side.

None of my machines at home run windows natively, and I like it that way.

I do need to get a VM up and running though so I can poke around in my snowmobile... :patch :evil

I've been running my virtualized XP Pro machine (via VM Fusion) on my Macbook Pro for a couple years. Was just able to kick it to the curb in December and am now developing 100% in the UNIX/Mac world and love it.

I actually just start with Debian and build it up to my liking. It's really cool that there are so many Linux distros to choose from these days. :deal

    Wiz8...

Take a look at the Dell, HP, Toshiba, or any other major PC producers web site. Every single one of their low to medium priced ready built laptops is Wiz8. Almost none actually have touch screens, which Wiz8 is purportedly optimized for.

Looking very much like Wiz8 is going to be a Vista 2.0 in terms of market hatred.

Sure, you can back-rev the machine, or do a *nix OS, or just buy a Mac, but the poor sod's who just need to buy a new Microsoft OS computer and have it work without relearning/reloading a new OS are screwed.

I also weened off Fusion. Almost nothing left that I ever need to touch that is windows only and it was taking up too much room on my SSD.

A very few automotive tools still are hopelessly locked into the PC world (VAG-COM VW tool, motorcraftservice.com, OBD scantool), but for the few times a year I need to use those tools, I just fire up virtualbox (free) or grab an ancient windows XP laptop out of the basement...

Well yesterday I decided to try and run Suzuki DRZ400. I really like the platform, quick operating system, although sort of old, it runs really well with me. I like it for the simplicity of the system and user friendly. Will run again. :evil:D:deal

I'm just scared of the KTM system, seems some folks get problems with it but it is pretty and nice graphics. Now if you want to splurge, go the Husaberg route, so nice but hard to service I think.
