What kind of range does that 450 have Leigh? Wanna do a small bike trip down there?
I missed three different trips down there this year because of work.... :bluduh

is it almost the first day of Fall there? :D

I'm not sure what the range would be- it has a 4 gallon Acerbis tank, but it's a high strung 450 & not a KLX250 or even a KLR650. I would guess that it might get 35 mpg if I took it easy, so that's like 140 miles? i dunno- need to to do a street mileage test.

Baja? Hmmmm, I'll have to think about that!

Amen on the lower fire danger. We got a reprieve on riding this week. I commuted 3 days, better than naught.:clap

If the 450 is a KTM, then you get maybe 150 miles, maybe 130ish on hard single track. The KTM's (a 450, two 525's and a 690) were limited to less than 150 miles or less. The DRZ Valdez 400 was sitting on a half tank, 4.3 gallons in Baja when were adding fuel. Seems the mains on the carberated KTM's were a bit big at sea level.

Need 200 + mile range in the Baja.

From 2 days ago near West Yellowstone, MT. My first time skipping water on a sled. Pretty damn fun. I do not know how deep the river is. Helmet cam is by a MN friend.

Wife and I are trying to plan week or so of back county scenic roads and camp sites in CO on our way to the west coast. We will be riding a F650gs single and F659GS twin and don't want it too rough when we are fully loaded. Thought you locals should have the best info, can return the favour if your coming to NW Arkansas or SW Missouri. Thanks
