You need adult supervision ................... or a good First Aid kit.
Mike, glad you're OK... you'll have some stories to tell for sure! That looks pretty gnarly for that bike... a return on dirt bikes is in order...
That is a great story. You were trying to do something creative, riding the Stelvio on the dirt mountain road and the ATV helpers were really nice guys. Pat on the back for all of you.
When I order this:
I don't expect this:
Thanks, Performance Offroad of Idaho. There go my plans for this weekend.
And I've called every KTM shop that I know of within a 3-hour radius. No one has a water pump seal on hand (or the correct Moose Racing 0934-5202 rebuild kit). And a few couldn't even find the seal in their parts diagrams.
Edit: finally found a seal at Motobreck.
I wanted to give a shout out here for the 3 Step Hideaway. If you guys haven't heard of it, @DingWeed (Scott) put together a really nice place geared for us motorcycle cowboys. It's a little south of Moab and near the entrance to the Needles district of CLNP.
Lodging choices include a well appointed Family cabin that sleeps 4 (or 6 if you're really good friends).
A bunkhouse that sleeps 2
And for the adventurous there's TeePees or camping areas.
Great meals are available (in season). Here's Scott whipping up some tasty steaks and roasted COTC.
We met riders from all over the U.S.A. doing the UTBDR, TAT and just coming to ride the Moab area.
We used the 3 Step as a jumping off point for an awesome 5 day ride. It's comforting to know your vehicles are safe while you're 100s of miles away.
Poison Springs Canyon
Anyway, if your looking for a cool bike friendly place to stay in the Moab area you won't go wrong with the 3 Step Hideaway
That is a lot of bacon
KUSA - A semi rolled over on Interstate 70 near Glenwood Springs on Monday afternoon, spilling its cargo -- pigs -- onto the road.
According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, the westbound lanes of the highway just a mile past Glenwood is closed with no estimated time of reopening.
Watch out for on WB I-70 just a mile past Glenwood Springs. WB is closed in that area to load the pigs and clean up the crash. No ETA. pic.twitter.com/hBqGevWHWV
A livestock hauler is on the way to pick up the pigs. CDOT says a vet is on scene evaluating the injured livestock. There are about 20 injured pigs.
Those traveling from Eagle County through Glenwood are urged to take another route, as it could be several hours before this incident is cleared.
Just saw @modette weighing in on the mad pooper on the news
I think it was about Mt Herman Rd.
He IS the mad pooper.
Nope, it was regarding the crazyPooperLady...
Link? How much thunder paper does he bring on the trails for such occasions?
Saw him on the news also last night, didn't show his face just his bike and right hand.
Trying to find it. Thought channel 11 or 13.
He was the guy in that story too? They didn't show the face for fear of murder in that one
Good morning - curious if we have any inmates local to Aspen that can help out with a simple project in town?
