Did a bunch of switchbacks coming down Lewis Creek on Saturday. The other guy had to dismount at just about every one of them. I just slipped the back end around.

Re: Robbers Roost, it used to be owned by Art, a high school teacher in town there. We did a fund raiser for their school ~15 years ago and purchased a few PCs for them.

I like this pic of RideFreak.

Sometimes in 5MOH, you don't realize what you are riding unless you look back what you have just come through for some perspective.

there appears to be a few attractive lines, but only one that really gives you a fighting chance.

It's funny. That's the way I saw it, but the concensus was the way I went up it looked like it had too much exposure. :scratch The talcy/gravely mix was thick at the bottom and all over the sandstone, so it was a bitch getting any drive whatsoever and hard to accurately pull the front end up.
The crazy Canadians were just pounding at it as fast as they could. I was about to die laughing at them. Lots of enthusiasm on their part! :clap

I wish someone had a pic of that guy jumping off of the top ledge, landing on another one, doing a tank-slapper and then finally crashing. Unbelievable. :eek1

These are the blood spots on his bike.

There was spots of blood on the rocks the rest of the day. It was like tracking a wounded Elk. :lol3

That line Gordy took was probably the best and by itself would have been doable but the start was a bitch, uphill in the sand with baby heads mixed in meant that it was totally launch dependent. Of course there's always the "Ghost Ryder" option (shown @ 7min) for achieving the summit :lol3

I thought Enduroince had it on his last try, 3 or 4" away from making it over the top :cry

I love A Space in Time...my first TYA album. Brings back high school in the early 70's - nailed the music choice again.

    Oh, great video too :lol2

I think everyone knows that there was an obvious glitch in the camera work. In reality I floated it numerous times so easily that it actually got boring.

I'd send that camera back Chris, theres something wrong with it.:D

    other than that, great vids!!!

BTW, since you guys started at the wrong end, I encounted this exact visage coming straight for me at mid-Hell. I aimed right for his front tire & he was nearly toppled in the ensuing collision.

Tom, sorry we didn't have more time to chat. Maybe in the spring?

We did it the "fun" way. The yard sale at The Crux was well worth the price of admission. I couldn't let the Texans just go down that! :rofl
