    For Sale:

2001 BMW F650GS Dakar with a Yamaha 426 front-end swap. This is a factory Dakar model.

With 27,322 miles, this little beauty comes with:
    • New K60 rear tire
    • Original front end
    • Soft saddle bags
    • Tank bag
    • Two keys
    • New battery (NOT a Shorai - the Shorai died)
    • Yamaha 426 front forks, caliper, MC, hub, Excel rim, bars
    • 320mm super moto front rotor
    • Tuning module under the seat that corrects the sloppy 2001 FI and is customizable with potentiometers.

She's been ridden so she's missing a few cosmetic bits here and there and shows the scars that come with age. The locking plate for the forks was not reinstalled but I do have it and it goes with the bike. The ignition is currently zip tied to the triples (see pics) as well as some of the panels that lost their body clips many owners ago. It originally came with heated grips but that was removed in the swap. It is a factory NON ABS bike and remains that way now. Runs and drives great.

The front end was sprung for a 180# rider and was rebuilt before installation.

This was a practice bike and project for my son and I - it is NOT currently plated so a fly and ride is probably out of the question but I do have a clean Colorado title and a bill of sale from the PO. Title is signed, not dated, no price, feel free to request the VIN and run it by your local LE for verification.

I will be in and out of town for the next few weeks, however, “dibbs” are based on order of email received.

Located in Colorado Springs – priced for a quick sale at $3500 – email me with any questions…. LoungeST5 (a) gmail

Hmmmm..... You're in Springs and waited for TheDude to leave the country before you posted your ad. This smell funny :rofl

FYI, my KLR sold today. A young man in WY is the happy new owner.

Thanks Dad! Lots of things "should" be done but don't.
I'm sure you are sweaky clean. Nuff said there, eh?

Not having a match between bill of sale and title could be a hassle. Would be worth mentioning what state that title is from. If it's signed off and dated, there is the issue of why wasn't it titled in a timely manner. Basket case might be a reasonable excuse but you might still get slapped with the $100 failure to register fee.

It is better to never date a title upon sale.

Definitely makes sense. Then throw it in an envelope with the pen so you can make it pretty later. I've never been asked for a notarized BOS, just whatever with a price will do. But I've been out of state for 20 years too...

CA is a whole lot more friendly, and they have cheap planned-non-operation registration too. Title it and do PNO and you're good forever until you want to park or operate on the street.

I have severe car ADD and have never needed a Bill Of Sale to title or register a car in CO. As long as you fill in the price on the title you are good.

Title is signed by PO - not dated, no price, no mileage. If you would like to speak to the PO, I can provide you with his contact info.

    CO title.

I've titled 4 motorcycles and 6 cars in CO - never once been asked for a bill of sale. I include the bill of sale as proof I rightfully own this bike.

Regarding resale without transferring title to your name first, keep in mind that the title document has an perjury clause (which is also why Colorado does not require a notarized bill of sale). If enforced, perjury is a serious offense.

Looking to put a factory low fender back on the 950 Adv. Anybody have one they'd want to sell. I would need all hardware etc.

    Let me know,
    Thanks

It doesn't matter. Someone could hand you a blank title and that is the transfer right there. The DMV isn't in the business sherlock homes sig check. Although, hypothetically, having the PO sig on the title makes it easier to make out the bill of sale. :deal
