    20,000 mi. on mine.
    Seams to be well made.
I've got the red filter cover, just clean and oil it.
Have not touched the main filter.

Much easier access to the TB's, etc.
Different sound than stock, it's OK.

I've got the remus 2 to 1 the bike has run great with
40 mpg two up, mas o menos.

    Twist it, Max

I've been running mine for 2500 miles and love it. I used the map that's downloadable from their site:
    http://www.rottweilerperformance.co..._Intake_-_Akr_Ex_Tune_ECU__See_Map_Infos_.hex

My normal riding is from sea level to 4000 ft. This weekend I rode up to Kennedy Meadows and was on trails up around 9000+ ft and the bike ran perfect.
I personally love the sound but I know there some that don't dig the "bark". Off road the engine/exhaust noise has a lot to do with how I ride so this air filter with exhaust baffles removed is great combo for me.

(FYI, the front block-off plate is a bitch to install.)

Has anyone run this on a 990R (or any newer 990 with the "R power rating") with Akras and the Akra map from KTM?

The person above you seems to have put it on a Baja, and used the map from their website with success!

I have one on my SMT with a Tune from the SMT website. I've run the tune on the CPR site also, and it was fine. Runs like a raped ape, and will Bark when you get on it.

    Great customer service from CPR!

FYI, the newer Adventure "R" engine does not contain anything different power wise than another Adventure, Baja or otherwise. The "R" designates the chassis differences. It's not like the "R" model SD that has different cams and such so maps are just fine.

Also, any 990 Rottweiler model is exactly the same as far as our parts go and will fit any 990 bike. We only have a "selector" button on the store so we can keep track of what models sell the most. Aftermarket companies love KTM because they just use the same stuff over and over. (With some random parts thrown in from time to time to baffle us. We get those calls with one in 1000 SD's with a funky fuel line that contacts or something. Weird.)

950's are only different with the SE and SMR models as the tanks are tight and require a different filter. The rest are the same as well. The RC8 has alot of Ram Air bits as well making that different from all the rest.

    Hope that makes sense.

I've had mine on for 7,000 miles or so and I've had zero troubles since I put it on. I've only traveled to a little over 5,000 above sea level from just a little bit above sea level and the bike ran great. I love hearing the roar of the engine (of course, with earplugs most of time) without the big air box.

I've had the red pre-filter on since I installed it and like another poster said, it's pretty easy to clean, oil and re-install. My only gripe is the oil I bought is super sticky and it's hard to not get it all over my hands, arms, etc. when re-installing.

I put Akros on when I put on the Rottweiler and re-mapped. The bike feels faster, stronger etc., but it was already pretty stout before, so I can only have faith that I got the extra ten or so horsepower that I read that I was supposed to get. I'm sure I didn't need the extra horsepower, but I like the changes I've made.

We are kind of at the mercy of what we can get a hold of and from who. Some maps like 2012 Adventure R, 2008 SD and 2010 RC8 are our shop bikes but we can't really have something for all years. Admittedly, we are still trying to get good intel on what changed with KTM in the computer between 07 and 08. Bottom line is, percentage values are percentage values, and if a file we have, say Tune ECU of a certain year won't load, or the file you want is only offered in Power Commander, it is possible, (but tedious) to convert the values by hand square by square. See our post today on that here: (Post 3154) http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?p=22084125#post22084125

Akropovich offers about 1 map per bike and we already have more than that so as far as standards go, we are ahead of the game but would certainly like more. If there are any Rottweiler users out there that would like to donate a map that is good that we don't have, we will send you a free Rottweiler T Shirt to say thanks. We want to build up the Rottweiler community pool of info and make this a team effort if we can with a cool reward.

    What do you guys think?

2-1 exhaust wings NOS no Baffle. Using the Akro Ti slip on tune straight from the Tune ECU site Canistorectomy done SAI turned off o2 sensors on. CPR intake with filter skin and super duke trumpets. Fresh fuel filters and injectors haven't had an issue. Has a bit of a rpm transition around 3500 buy off road is usually doesn't go below 4 or 5 so I have to to and look for the issue to notice.

I have tried several other tunes but haven't had any success to any great extent. for me this seams to work the best everywhere i have taken the bike (sea level to 6000ft) no coughs studders or issues to speak of with a minimal loss of MPG. As mentioned before I was getting 39-41 I now get 37-39.

I will say with the stock mapp once I started the bike the exhaust almost instantly started glowing red :eek1:eek1:eek1 I had been messing with the bike for other issues so I had tried 100 different mapps and adjustments in the midset I put the CPR on since the bike was down. Once all the issues were fixed (not related to intake) from the bad batch of fuel I got I put everything back to almost stock (no SAI or canistor). Once he bike fired as mentioned previously it went straight to Chernobyl mode, I had to switch to the Akro Ti slip on map left o2 sensors on (read that in a previous post on here some where) and with this set up the bike has never run better.

Use to be in 2nd gear roll on throttle the front end would loft slightly maybe carry it for a bit now roll on 2nd gear the bike will flip over if your no careful. I know its not a real scientific or perfect output comparison but the increase in HP is vary noticeable. Actually the bike runs smoother and crisper then before with the previous set up, 2-1 fmf Q stock intake and OE map or modified map o2 on or off SAI on or off akro map or tweaked never seamed right this does

    Hope that helps:clap
