    Hi Tigersyndicate!

We just arrived in Kupang (West-Timor) and hopefully we´ll take the "hell" ferry tomorrow to Larantuka (Flores).

    Cheers

Sorry, if I didn´t mention it: yes: we choosen our route: blue!
Biggest argument: we can visit YOU, Mr. Blek! :clap

But after visiting you? Who knows? One thing we learned on our a.t.w.-trip: it never works out as you planned:-)

Looking forward to meet you, Blek!

    Greetings from Kupang!

Glad you two are doing well before the hell... :lol3

You can always change your route after you reach Sumbawa island. There is a ship named Tilong Kabila twice every month from Asakota harbor to Ujung Pandang (Makassar), Sulawesi island, and it is not as "hell" as the ships there at East Nusa Tenggara. :lol3

Hi, just stumbled on this thread, checked out LonelyPlanet's thorntree as well, and everywhere it seems to indicate that to take my bike to Borneo (I'm presently driving down the east coast of the peninsula) just won't work or will be a massive migraine. I have a 125CC Honda Dream, so no massive monster. Since this was posted two years ago, is this still the case? If I take the blue route (south through Indonesia, as I am making my way very slowly to Bali), I should leave out of Georgetown? I was hoping to drive all the way down the east coast and hop over from Singapore.

    Hi kenax. :)
There is a shipping company on Georgetown, and if it is Honda Dream underbone supercub, I think the shipment will be easy. Sure they have experience shipping small bikes to East Malaysia (Borneo) or straight to Medan, Indonesia.
