Some guy that when he isn't crossing sketchy Russian Bridges at break neck speed, competes in a little race called The Dakar Rally.

I've been following from the start. Just a fantastic RR.
I've been staring at your pic, of the guys standing on the bridge, and it occurred to me.. This guy from Minnesota (if I remember right) took off on his way to Alaska, went up and back, shipped his bike over to Europe, got his bike stolen, regrouped, enjoyed all of Europe, then all of Eastern Europe, and has now just crossed the Vitam Bridge!!
    Unbelievable!!! :clap:clap
This is huge.. That's a small group your running with now. Not many could do what you've done. Let alone, make it look Fun and Easy!! (Well, not always easy, but fun..) :clap:clap

I am stuck in civilisation this year ... so i am manning the 24/7 BAM Road help desk.

The boys made it into Tynda. Seemingly they havent got to internet yet. I am guessing a warm meal and warm dry bed was their first priority.

There is SEVERE weather ahead of them. Mega flooding across all of Far Eastern Russia. For more detail see here https://www.facebook.com/permalink....fset=0&total_comments=5&notif_t=share_comment

All is well. Kim and I finally found a hotel with internet. we are in Khabarovsk now.

The weather and rain have made the old summer road impossible/impassable. I don't really see the point of going to Magadan if I cant do the Old summer road.. So I decided to go to Sveta's to wait for my carnet. :D

I will have time to get caught up next week when she is working.

Kim will either go to Sakhalin and on to Japan or ship in a shared container from Vlad.

Thanks for all the kind words. The BAM was great fun.

There is so much rain.. everything is flooded. The old summer road is flooded and the federal highway to Magadan is closed due to flooding and wash outs. Its not doable now this year.
