Hey Kiwis - why is West Pac stadium in Wellington so small? Only holds 37k. Am I correct in thinking that it's also used for cricket? But it looks to be in a awesome location.

Saw the first 25 minutes standing in the arrivals hall of Dublin airport; hell of an encounter. Well done both teams.

there is only so much land there.its also reclaimed land, the whole structure is a specially designed light weight concrete structure because of the poor ground.Wellington is only a small city, and a bigger stadium would be too big for 9 out of 10 events.Only test match rugby would fill it.
Its is very close to The railway station, but its also close to residential areas.so there was a lot of to-ing and fro-ing.Thye are only allowed a certain number of "noisy and or night events per year

Gotcha - thanks for info. Sounds like the new Landsdowne Road - close to residential area, thus couldn't make it any bigger

Finally watching Ireland v. New Zealand. What a first 20 minutes for the Irish. They had this game. Sexton missed an easy kick. Fcuking shame

And they should have kept possession at the end of the game better.

Well popping this back up to the Playlist...

RWC tickets are being released for English / UK clubs to order and my mate has lived over there for 15 years, so he's getting tickets for myself and others. :)
Nothing better than watching a RWC match. And thankfully time change isn't bad for USA East coast
