    Cool pics.Keep them coming.
I spent 2 years in Korea in the 80's and enjoyed seeing the pictures.
I remember going to a little beach in Inchon while I was there.Spent many long nights in Seoul also. They had some 24 hour clubs in seoul and Tongduchon.
If you get a chance check out Cheju-do Island off the southern tip of the penninsula.
Pusan is a cool port town also.
Have fun and post lots of pictures.

I got to the terminal before they opened. So I went looking for tires. No luck there, so I went back to the terminal. They were open this time. I bought my ticket for the bike 589 won-about $530.This also stared the customs process. Then I bought my ticket -about $115. As I went to move my bike, I saw 2 bikers. I asked if they were Igor and Penny, from New Zealand. It was them. I had communicated with them on the forum. I thought they might be on this ferry.

4 hours later we are loaded and on our way. There are only about 15 passengers on this big boat. And the cargo area is also pretty empty. I walked around the boat with Igor and Penny for a while then went to my room. I thought I would be sleeping on the floor with my cheap ticket. But I was in a 10 bunk room by myself. I slept about 3 hours. I got up and found Igor and Penny in the cafeteria. We had a decent supper.I have no idea what it was. A little later I went back to bed. This time I slept 8 or 9 hours. A few hours later were in Zarubino, Russia.

Immigration went rather quickly. Then we went to customs. This didn't go so fast. Everybody was helpfully-it just seemed like they were new to the process. But we were on our way 5-6 hours later. I will travel with Igor and Penny, maybe through Mongolia. I hope Igor doesn't get tired of educating me on using my tablet. He has taught me a lot.And Penny knows a little Russian.I already feel like I am a burden to them.

We rode about 130 miles to VVladivostok and found the hostel Variant-$75 for the 3 of us.Igor and Penny found a restaurant in the hostel. I found a bottle of Fanta, potato chips, and a Snickers for my daily food supplement.

Today we rode to the Iron Angels motorcycle club/shop.There is not a lot of respect for motorcycle riders. Look out to survive. We stopped at a Magic Burger restaurant. I had the worst hamburgers I ever ate. So bad I had to take a picture of it.We went looking for 2 British guys that are also traveling a similar route. They were gone from their hostel before we got there. So we went to the ferry terminal for Vladivostok and looked. We gave up and continued to th Iron Angels club. I needed a new tire and chain as spares. Someone went and got them for me.Yes, I raided the debit card again.

The mechanics start bringing out shots of vodka. When that is gone we go to a cafe next door to eat and of course more vodka. Then we go back to the shop and have more vodka. While we are there, the owner brings me 2 boxes. He says they are Russian army rations.I don't know where I will put them.

I don't have much time with internet service. So I will post and add pictures when I can. Adding pictures from this tablet takes a lot of time

One of the Iron Angels lead us out of town today, Russian style. Lane splitting and all.He saved us a lot of time. We stopped at the Golden Bridge for pictures. It was built with the Golden Gate Bridge as a model. Very nice setting. We saw many wedding partys come for pictures while we were there. Russian women sure like the short tight dresses.

When we left there, we were escorted out of the city, and said good bye. We rode about an hour to Ussuriysk. We met Andrea Kim and his family on the ferry to Zarubino. He invited us to come to his house if we were close. We called him, and he met us at the train station. We followed him to one of his three motor scooter shops. We parked our bikes in a shop and went to his house. We ate with his family and a couple friends. And, of course, 3 bottles of cognac and vodka. Then we retired for the night.

    6-8-13 Saturday 437 miles 3513 total

We left Ussuriysk and Andrey Kims shop about 1230. There was a lot of construction on the road going north. Dirt, dust, gravel, and trucks. Nog many towns. Over 400 miles and I didn't see one road kill or truck tire tread on the road. We got to Khabaroysk about 1130.We were supposed to call someone from the iron angels mc club when we got close to town. The message was not sent that we were coming though. But 2 guys came and met us.They led us to a garage to park our bikes. Then they took us to their apartment. Andrei is a doctor. Yuri is divorced, and I think is living with him temporarily.

They wanted to feed us too.I said, nothing for me.2 hours earlier we stopped at a road side food stop. I pointed to a picture of something on the wall.A man pointed to another picture. I indicated to the girl I would have both, and a large ice tea. When I tried to pay, she said no.Present. She wouldn't take any money.

Yuri wouldn't take no for an answer either. He made a salad that I did eat.An of course the cognac. 2am we finally go to bed.

If that was beef, it was smaller than an over cooked sausage patty.

We rode 437 miles to Khabarosky. We got there at 1139 pm.We called a number we got from the Iron Angels. One of their local members would meet us.Andrei and Yuri got the notice, but they came and got us.We parked in a locked garage, then went to Andrei's apartment for the night. The next day they gave us a tour of the city. First we went to a church. Below the church was a memorial wall for people from this city that died in WWII. Similar to the Vietnam memorial wall.

Then we went to their small beach.

We stopped at a small amusement lake where Andrei bought us lunch.

We stayed in a motel the 2nd night since they had to work in the morning.

    6-10-13 we went 271 miles.
We passed this sign on highway M58. It says Moscow Vladivostok

I know my pictures aren't showing up here. But I've spent over an hour and a half on this little bit of a post. Something has changed. I give up for now.

    Sean,
I'm using a tablet. No right click. I have not seen any of these bikers drink anything if they were driving or riding. We haven't gotten into an contest when in for the night either.

I'm taking another day off.I've had a travelers stomach for a week and a half now. Today it won't let me leave the room.I'll try working on photobucket. It's painfully slow with the tablet even if the pictures posted.

Thanks for fixing my last batch.

Yesterday we wasted 2 hours trying tosee what was wrong with my 4 day old modem for Wi-Fi. Previously MTC said it needed to be activated. They did something and said it would work in 2 hours. It still didn't work the next day.Today we got off the main road, about 15 miles to find me another modem. We had gone about 180 miles, and decided Svobodny might be my last chance for a while. I bought a different brand this time.

While Igor and Penny went to get something to eat, I sat on they sidewalk and tried my new Wi-Fi. I was also watching the bikes. After 5 minutes, 3 women came out of the store I was sitting in front of.They almost drug me inside. They wanted me to sit in a chair. I finally went in with them, but couldn't see the bikes well enough. So I went outside and stood on the top step. They brought the chair out for me.Then they brought out a good sized bag of candy, and a bottle of water.

This is 2 of the women pharmacists.

Soon a woman came up to me and talked in English that was hard to understand. She mentioned motorcycles and husband. Then Igor and Penny came back and talked to her. She said she would come back in an hour, and we would spend the night at their house. Not many miles for the day, but we agreed.

While waiting, a young girl and her baby stopped to talk. She wanted us to come to her place for dinner. Are we in the Twilight Zone, or what.

Anna came back and lead us to a locked garage for the bikes. Then she took us to her grandmothers house for tea, snacks, and showers. Later we went to her house. The 2 kids were taken to grandmothers house later. We slept in Anna an Alexander's beds (fold out couches) and they slept in the children's beds.

We left their house and went to their biker hangout. Anna's grandmothers old house. About a dozen biker friends came for a grill out. This Kawasaki has a 57 liter gas tank which he made.

After several hours of food and vodka, for those not driving, we went back to their house. The next day was a holiday. Russian independence day. They wanted us to stay another day.I will leave in the morning. Igor and Penny will stay. Lucky dogs.

Alexander got upat 7am and rode with me to the main highway. What great people.

Then I rode to Znabenka (near Nerchinsk).Same scenery as the last 2000 miles. Here's a picture of the Trans Siberian railroad.

I saw my first road kill. Either a small fox or a big squirrel. It's another 160 miles to Chita. But it's getting cold. Also, I hope I'm getting paranoid, and my engine isn't really getting noisier. I stopped for gas, and they have a hotel for $18 which I am staying at.My stomach issues were good all day. But all I ate was several pieces of candy the women gave me yesterday and the bottle of water. I tried Skype with my wife for a while. It was a terrible connection.

I'm not going anywhere today,.As good as my stomach was yesterday, it's payback time. Other than going downstairs to pay for another day, I haven't left my room. All I've eaten today is a few Imodium. I may try the restaurant here later. I'm not hungry and it seems such a waste to borrow food for a few hours. But it will get me away from Photobucket for a while. It's been slower than molasses.
