    Ha ha, no real family story. When she died my family went over to help clean out the barn. There were 2 single cyl. BSAs and the BMW sitting in a corner. My brother took the BSAs and sold them. I took the Bimmer home.

    Excellent, what a nice find! I'd say that the original paint is very much worth preserving. As a matter of fact so is the chrome. Even really rough original paint bikes are extremely really rare. Once original is gone, you can never get back to it.
