Ball valve in the vent syndrome, according to B. Haskell. Ran across them on the loop when it was happening.

Josh Roper was one of my instructors in my first trials class. He really rides smooth.

Huh. You'd have thought she might run into Pat who knew what that one was right away... Or maybe traded some info in the pits to pass along. Bummer.

    B. and RYP knew of the problem. Doesn't mean they solved it on all the bikes before the competition. B. figured it out right away on the loop. Smart guy that B. Haskell!! :thumb

I had Josh for logs crossing, he's a very good rider and did a good job instructing also. Sure made things look easy.

I saw gray fuel line with no valve in place of the two black pieces with ball valves on several '18 Shercos.

I saw fuel pouring out of Bobby's carb. Thought it was a sticking float. I wish I would have known the problem/solution a few hours earlier.

So far no issues with my '17s with that valve sticking closed. I wonder if a tight fit with the ball and maybe a touch of ingested dust played a role?

Seems lot's of rear wheel spin on those rocks. I wonder if a wore tire would be best ? Seen Kylee and her Dad ride in Connell last month. Maybe next weekend in Goldendale. Oh I need some peg time Badly.

I thought traction at Colorado was better than at Roswell.
