I've got the recipe for that, if you are in the area. Heck make it an overnighter, the pool is clean and cool.

Some stuff fell from the sky yesterday. Debating Croomz or quick spin on the brown turd at Corbett if anyone decides to ride.

Both. It's got a good mix of dirt roads and double track as well as some ling sections of deep sand with a smattering of atv trails thrown in. It's doable on a big bike but the person would have to be comfortable with rutted sugar sand.

Thanks! Sounds fun. I would like to get the CB built and try something like that before I head west for a long ass trip on it.
I am trying to avoid riding the 690 as I want to sell it. I don't want to blast around on it and convince myself to keep it!

It's a nice day loop but I'll be honest, it's going to test your sand skills on a 450lb bike. The dirt roads are no problem but there are a couple areas of very deep sugar sand that going to leave tou worn out if you don't bring your A game. Once you get the CB finished I strongly suggest getting in some sugar sand practice locally first.

Any of you guys ever bought a bike from auctions such as Manheim, IAAI, etc?

My neighbor just got a dealer license & said I can tag along at some of the auctions. Just curious if anyone actually got a good deal(s) on motorcycles. Or maybe got raped & has horror stories to warn me about, lol.

I bought a Honda ruckus from copart out of Miami about a year ago. I had to get a "rebuilt" title but I only paid $390 plus another $100 in misc parts and $80 to register it. Auctions are what they are; you can find some good deals, caveat being most times you can't ride it or really get a good shake down in it. Repo auctions are generally safer, insurance auctions can be a crap shoot relative to engine/frame damage.
