On the whole, I find the most courtesy on Adelaide roads, given the circumstances. Aged and young.

Thou still disappointed at the amount of cagers who insist on texting or phone use - man, if I had a dollar for every time at the traffic lights or passing them on the express way ....

P plater's, girls & women .... every fuckin time :baldy

    from Adelaide now

"Earlier, a Golden Grove man, 62, was killed at Callington when the BMW motorcycle he was riding was hit from behind by a Holden Commodore sedan as he travelled west along the Princes Highway, just before 6.30pm.
The man died at the scene.
Police want to speak with the driver or any passengers in a dark-coloured VR or VS Holden Commodore sedan with a missing taillight, which was at the scene but left before police arrived."

On Adelaide now it states the bike was hit from behind, I have posted the section. I don't trust the drivers on the freeway at all & stay away from it on a bike.

    Hi Aub,

Nothing 'organised' mate, I've booked the work house at the bottom of the street in Blinman from 12th to 17th Sept and a few of the Gawler boys are riding up with an overnighter planned at some sleezy caravan park half way, say around Peterborough:rofl. I'm trying to get a ute involved as a support vehicle, for booze, food, bedding, esky, chainsaws etc, and might even take mine so I can drag the Tenere and 400 up.

A few others are making their own way and picking up whatever beds they can, pub etc.

A couple of drinks at the pub, a camp oven every now and then, damper and a firepit......oh, and some local bike riding...:evil

I dont either, I was in my little Mazda , with a load of tools in the back after a, er, relaxing day at the shack.

I normally use the old highway if I am on the bike, always in the wet or dark.
It is freaking scary how many people can botch up the simple job of driving down an almost deserted freeway, even in daylight, and the section between Mt Barker and the city is a madhouse at certain times of the day, particularly on the way home around six.

Stewy`s out for the Blinman ride:1drink as he went arse up yesterday at Mulga Valley (near Whyte Yarcowie) broke 4 ribs and his collar bone.
He was with his family out for a BBQ and a bit of riding, went for a ride on his own on the single track at the side of the road, next thing he is in a strangers Prado enroute to the Peterborough Hospital.
He didnt remember his wife and kids were back at his car waiting for him!(concussed) she got worried about him and asked some other riders if they had seen him and was told that he was on his way to hosp!

Hey, that's a bumma Doc. Pass on our best wishes to Dave - guess that slows down the postie in Peterborough for a while!! Did you tell him to HTFU?

PS. Will talk about the overnighter at your place coming up.
    cheers

That's a bugga Doc, wish Stewy all the best from me.

I'm doubtfull for the Flinders also. Went to the 24 hour presentation last night and in my drunken stupor I think I committed myself to doing the Clare road trial that weekend.

Did you know they have 'tail ender' awards for the solo and sidecar that finish last? No, neither did I but they do and guess who got the solo award :linzi

He's conning us all Pete. My bet is that he knew about the trophy for last and that's why he took point penalties during the latter stages of the trial......bloody real estate agents and angles...:deal

Shame about the Flinders Kipo, guess that means I take only one camera then..:rofl

Had a great ride with the lads on Saturday 4th.
Jizza, BikerBilly & Bubba Bauer tagged along (Cheers Guys), to see what we could find and we weren't disappointed.
The fine conditions held up all day to help make this day trip one to remember.
Chasing roo's through the tree ferns and weaving in amongst the tall gums were all highlights as well as taking in the beautiful scenery of our Southern Vales.
Great company, great weather, great bike & great trails......ya just couldn't ask for more.........errr...except.....I just had to give Billy's 9fiddy a go & I gotta tell ya.....that power is damned addictive.....and comes on smooth, strong & fast.
Already trying to figure out how to soften up the misses so that my pair of Austria's finest becomes a trio, a flock, a mob, a gaggle....I dunno:eek1
What I do know is that I want one!
Anyhow, as seems to be the norm these days.....I've thrown together a bit of a vid.....surprise, surprise!:lol3

    Enjoy!
