Should be keen for that. Whats the plan for where we head to?
Basically find the nearest dirt road we can ................... well actually it's less than 5kms away from Magill.
To quote ..... "As we depart 7am from the Liberty Servo top of Magill Rd, we will leisurely cruise a smooth winding road over a summit and climb a steep, tight dirt track before engrossing ourselves with glorious, fantastic, smooth, undulating, scenic, often loose surfaced, sometimes tight & twisty "rally roads" " .......... probably covered in tree branches after today.
Depending on time we may fit a loop back around Woodside as well, all in all we should be able to knock over 120+ kms.
Unfortunately the bakery may miss out though ....................... just remember to tell DRTrev when next you see him ............. it's all about riding dirt & havin' fun isn't it? oser
cya in the morning.
I'll pm my mobile no.
Was great fun, my first Adenture ride. Didnt like the sand nor did it like me. Didnt fall and hopefully didnt keep MB back too much.
Looking forward to the next ride...
FYI. Thinking of either Flinders Ranges or Kangaroo Is this year (September ish). Would be looking for some others to join.
Kym. Where did you find sand on a three hour ride.
I have my ways
There are quantity rides ...........................and there are quality rides
Glad you enjoyed the short squirt XIE
Any guys venturing on Trev's dbw ride Feb 22nd? http://www.dirtbikeworld.net/forum/showthread.php?t=53993
For sand within one hour try Olsens road between Deep Creek /Tooperang roads or Frome road betwen the continuation of Deep creek road and Currency creek.
Deep creek road is the the next turn off after Tooperang Road on the Bull Creek road.
Not a lot but will give you a bit practice.
Common fess up Kym you know I love my sand and miss the desert
Would love to, but back on the rock farm.
I'm a possible.
Depends on the weather of course.
I should be really slow for this lot. Oh, I guess i'm destined to be a sweeper!
Look what happened last time you mentioned the weather Mike
Not saying a thing Kym
Looks good though
Must be time for another get together at the Avoca? :dg
Thurs 26th works for me!
Mmm. Well, um, here I am.
I've been reading this group's (mis)adventures with interest which has piqued my own .
My sole experience so far off-road has been on unsealed roads and tracks found between here and Victor Harbor (found more than I expected since I got lost more often than not). But then I've only had my current set of wheels (actually my only ever wheels) for four weeks - I'm still running it in (1000 km down, 600 to go ).
So I'm putting my hand up for any rides (as long as they don't involve getting up at 4am - that's against my religion ). The advantage to having me along is that I'd make everyone else look good
Welcome to the asylum Nic.
Howdy Nick welcome aboard
Now for the more serious stuff cya at the Avoca on 26th guys.
or should we meet here?
P.S. Those lookin' for an interesting 3 night ride/camp out, there's somethin' exciting in the brewin' for March 11th - 14th, unfortunately it's mid week, but if you can rigg it, it'll be worth it. More info coming early next week.
