Ha ha, he's working! But ItsGotToBeYellow and I headed out to Pt Gawler and whilst he dropped from the V Strom to the RMZ, I gave the 220 kg+ Tiger the flick and jumped on the WR250F.

Last time I was out there in anger on a bike was about 1975/6 I reckon. It was playing on my mind that I'd just walked out of the surgeon's office with him laughing about a hip replacement sometime this year and then I'm out mixing it in sand at Pt Gawler.....

Managed to get IGTBY on the gas....not a bad action photo either...

That is a great photo, looks like Kym is 1/2 serious about this Finke caper. Better get my arse into gear and start practicing.

    Hey Guys,

How has ownership of the Tiger 800s been? I have noticed you seem happy with the beasts. Not asking for me; I am with its got to be yellow ( Vstrom/DRZ)

How long have you got? I have my dream bike.

There's one or two good secondhand ones for sale in Oz, but they get snapped up pretty quickly if they're any good.

Send your buyer over here for a test ride......I reckon PBee and I have them set up pretty well for what we do.

For Info: Bernie is running a car in a fund raiser for the RFDS in August and will be auctioning some hot laps in the 956 Porsche he races (read.. WEAPON) if anyone's interested I can tell you from previous experience that you will need to bring a change of clothes, wet bag and towel.....

Coming from a 990 I can't believe how happy I am with the Tiger.
Podge gave me some Krooztune springs for the forks & I reckon the front end
steers better than the Toom with very little understeer.

The motor is a torque monster down low with a great top end.
The motor tends to be very linear from bottom to top with no real power band.

The bike is just easy to ride.
    I love it.:D

G'day Trev, unfortunately I cant get any time off this year in June (as it's our 'stock-take' time of the year :lol3), however will be taking off 2 or 3 weeks in late July.

I might be up in Gawler sometime in the next 7 days, will give you a call the day before.

I would be keen to buy tickets to win some hot laps with Bernie in his 956, that would be awesome..:thumb

    Cheers, Sol..:beer

Sequent and I need to get hold of a cheap utility or van for the Condo 750 event weekend to transport our rally bikes to and from the event. Anyone know of one available? Must be running/rego'd but minor work is fine.

    Hi folks,

Just a heads up. After getting hounded for long enough :bash, I finally figured some dates out for another Pooncarie trip. :clap Basically, as follows:
-Wed 21st to Sun 25 May

Wed - Head for Lindsay Island via Old Loxton Rd/Bakara Well/Loxton.
Th - Lindsay Island, follow Murray where possible, Wentworth, then dirt to Pooncarie.
Fri - Lake Mungo, return to Pooncarie via Garnpung Lake.
Sat/Sun - Couple of return options.

With any luck, the Darling won't be flooded this time, and we might get a chance to get up to Bindara Stn. :kumbaya

Drop me a PM if you're interested. I'm not sure if the general store will be open over the winter period, but will have to organise fuel again, if they're closed that is, so an idea of numbers would help.
