Yair, good idea, but bugger me, (well, don't, but you know what I mean), it's the 1st of June, so I've missed out on the Melrose run. :waysad , but I guess there'll be a next time. :beer

At the moment I'm organising a run to the middle of NSW for April 2008, for two bmw clubs combined 50th birthday, so although I'm not organising some thing for this sites readers (unless you're bmw riders), :evil I would like to come along and beer up, or a fang through the hills, or out to the country for a dirt road ride somewhere?:ear
For me overnight campouts are out coz I'm a 24/7 carer for an elderly parent, but I can get time off for good behaviour sometimes for a day ride. :clap
So, I'll keep in contact through this thread, or other.
I'll be starting one off about the above mentioned 50th B'day ride sooner than later.

I thought Poh pias when I first read the post, but then I got to the bit about heating it up and cutting it, so Pi Pias it might be, i know the Malacca Corner, beaut Laksa's yum yum is the word. If I couldn't ride I'd at least have to have a laksa every week.

What about making a monthly meeting for a beer, or a cafe? or ? or say the last saturday of the month, for a ride?

I'd love to go Hattah but I am having arm surgery Monday afternoon and will be of the bikes for quite a while. If there is a local pub or Luksa run let me know and if I can get about will try to front up.

Some one suggested a regular get together on a fixed day every month or so any suggestions?:1drink

I am looking at buying insurance for my motorcycle (About to be transferred to me) and would appreciate it if anyone could point me to an insurance company that is motorcycle friendly.

I have just lost my Chatterbox alarm remote. Would anyone know where to get a replacement?

    Thank you in advance.

I am in the market for insurance too , all the premiums seem about the same , and you dont get information on exactly what is covered untill you get the policy so it isnt easy to commpare .
Western QBE had the worst cover/most loopholes of all the house policies that Choice compared, but does this apply to their auto products too?

And of course if the insurer has a mind to quible and delay payment for as long as possible this would make a big difference too, so any tales of woe in this regard would be helpfull.

I have been using Shannons but they don't seem to fond of "dirt bikes" so I have my bike insured against theft ,falling off a tralier or having a car hit it that sort of thing works out not too $$$$$.

Try Swann - they've always been bike friendly - I know they do a lot of Harleys - be sure to tell them how much you plan to ride the bike - I know Shannons are only interested in "Limited Use" bikes.

Be sure to read the Product Disclosure Statement to make sure you know exactly what is and is not covered. If you are unsure about certain details ring them and ask them to explain. And be sure to give them "all" the correct information about driving/riding history and any previous accidents or fines to avoid any disappointment when it comes time to make a claim.

Best of Luck! We'll have to have a few more beers at the Avoca soon.

    Hi Peter,
Tks for the tip. I will try out Swann. I think it is about time to hook up again for all SA Riders. Avoca is fine and Poh Piah is also very very good or any place. Yum!

Anytime is a good time to :beer & :dg

    Kym,

I seriously think you may have too much spare time on your hands :lol3

But I do take my hat off to anyone who takes time out enough to notice the small things in life. Good on you!

I get back in Adelaide on the 12th and I am sure dogsbody gets home then too. How about a couple of cleansing ales on the Thursday night of the 14th? At the usual spot (the Avoca on South Road)! Maybe some of the others would like to join us :ear

    Let me know!

    Pete
