Out of curiosity, what is your warranty like for your saddlebags?
I ask because I have a set of your "tattoo" series on my bike and after only 1 month of a rainy riding season, all of the rivets are rusted and they look like shit. (and this was using spray wax to help protect the bags surface finishes).

As you should be able to see from the attached pic, I take great care of my Bike so, I don't quite understand why I'm having issues with the rivets rusting the way they did in 1 months time. (I have them off the bike right now because I can't imagine what road salt would do to the rivets)

Edit: Ps. the buckles are holding up well and it makes me wonder if the rivets missed the clear coat process.
(other than the rivets, I really love the product)

No he just thought you were complaining in a thread that had nothing to do with what you were talking about. Good to hear they are taking care of you though.

Saddlemen- Cool offer. My bike was in long beach a few months ago but not any more. Too bad, my seat sucks! :lol3

What I do think is if you have a problem with a persons product you should call them or take it to a PM.
Now, why would a manufacture clear coat rivets explain please, when they should be made out of stainless or other non corrosive materials to avoid rusting. Maybe it's something your putting on your bags that's causing the rust issue?
If you want to resort to name calling my 15 yr old grandson will match you word for word.

Nice little scooter you have there.

Ok, turtle wax causes rust.:huh (that's what I use)

I'd sent an e-mail 3 months ago and never got a response from their web-site, nor was the Dealership where I'd purchased them of any help.
Could be they never got that e-mail so, that's why I posted my question here.

As for why any mfg. would use rivets that rust? Good question.
    Pretty much surprised me too.

I do figure I'm out of luck (from what I've been told) because I lost my receipt so...consider this a buyer beware.
As for jumping down my throat for losing the receipt being my problem...I accept that it is.
Still, like you pointed out, WHY would rivets be used that could rust? (I figured, based on reviews that I'd purchased a quality product so, WHY would I keep the receipt? (who'd think that the rivets would rust?)

...and where did I call you a name?

Ps. No negativity directed towards Saddlemen is intended here.
I'd buy their product again due to their response here and as previously stated, I'm very happy with the quality of the rest of the product.
Cheers to you guys for being upstanding.:freaky
(next time, I'll be keeping my receipt)

DOOD... I have been here a LONG time, and the tone you use towards CW and saying "fuck you" to him is wrong... You have ruffled my feathers, so to speak. So, how about FUCK YOU and your pansy ass girls bike. The manufacturer says they will take care of you, so chill. The only meds that need to be taken should be a chill pill by you.

Oh, and what happened to your tassles on the handlebars?

Saddleman, I love your products and had one of your seats a few years ago.... Keep up the GREAT worK!!!!

Well, I might have taken his first response to me wrong so, if I did...I apologize here and now.
I tend to over react a little when it appears the insinuation is there that I'm a Liar.

As for you, make fun of my little bike all you want. I use it all year long as my commuter (even when it snows) and from what I've seen around here, rack up more miles on this little 250 than 80% of the rest of the ADV inmates do on bikes 3 times its size so, I'm keeping my man card.

Now, I'll go back and delete the uncivil parts of my posts out of respect for the rest of you and to show my apology is sincere.:freaky

B.T.W. I like your comment in regards to where the tassles went. (not!)
There's nothing more on this bike than needs to be there to make it a practical all weather commuter.
In regards to pansies...Move to a State where it gets into the teens temperature wise for months out of the year and still rack up 10+ thousand miles a year...then we'll talk. (what luch specials they having down there in Florida today anyway?)

I apologize..... Come on here as a newbie and throw what appears an insult and this crowd will tar and feather you. Heaven help you if it gets punted to JoMamma (the basement).

I have ridden in ice and snow, on everything from a Harley to Honda singles... I absolutely HATE the cold (or even cool...) so I relocated South.

Rant over, hand extended for a shake, and let's all get along. CW is my honorary dad and ANY body messes with him and I can't just sit idly by... Apology again!

Anyway, this is about Saddleman seats. I wish I had a bike out there I would Volunteer her for a fitting. The seat you are proposing sounds perfect, and I'd really like to have one. Narrow in the front and getting wider as it goes back, allowing for a comfortable standing position and then wide for support on the slab is a recipe I LOVE!!!!!
