Goog led me to this thread but is failing me to find a replacement gasket. I have a gasket that looked even worse than the OP's and was steadily dumping gas all over my garage. I tried making my own out of gasket material but failed and my garage continued to smell like eau de fuel and only worked under extremely low pressures.

I just bought this bike used from a guy in Austin so I dont know much about it. She's a 950 adventure with a safari tank. Is that a unique gasket to safari or is it used on the OEM tank as well? Either way, anyone know of a place to buy a replacement? My gasket making skills suck.

Hmm. When mine leaked just after I changed the fuel filters, the trailside fix was a thin bicycle tube a rider had in his tool kit, which of course has been added to my tool kit, now. That was 8 months and 12k miles ago. I'm afraid to replace it!!

Not using a safari tank but have used a block of plate from them that I got years ago when placing 990 tanks on my 950, have not been leaking but the gasket was quite rotten when removed:

Tanks will go on the brand new 990R and the brand new tanks put aside as spares.
