any dramas getting wof'd? keep away from vtnz, just stick a friendly bike shop that understands?

just imported my tiger from oz, had to return it to standard for the import inspection. want to put my safari tank back on.

    thanks

on the bright side, its rego'd now, good to go :clap

I know Rosie has been through VTNZ Rotorua plenty of times no worries with the old IMS tanked Sherpa & now the Safari'd WRR.

Good to hear you're on the road! Watch this space for the Midwinter Madness ride details.

    Cheers

I take my HPN tanked (43 L) R100GS through VTNZ, usually with no issues. That is fairly extensively modified (differnt front end etc), & the guys never turn a hair :D.

I never had any issues with my Safari on the 690 with a WOF, but I always got it done in a bike shop. Don't see why it would be a problem at VTNZ unless they were concerned about it rupturing with the gouges and scratches all over it :lol3

    shit...

my DRZ has a Clarke tank.. had Wofs at AA and VTNZ, no probs, but gonna be interesting putting the bike through compliance to get it onto NZ plates soon.

Which compliance tester refused your tank?

    Cheers

i didnt give them a chance to refuse it. in my homework i took some pics down to a couple of vtnz and aa inspectors.

i returned the bike to standard, got it inspected and rego'd and seems now it should be all good to put the safari tank back on
