Last January David, Kurt and I left Manchester in UK
    [IMG]
to meet in Genova with Fabrizio who was coming from Rome . A 24h ferry across the Mediterranean see took us to Tunis. 500 km and 7 hours later we were in the town of Douz, the entrance of the Sahara.
A lovely completely self organized 6 days ride in the north Sahara. We engaged Ahmed a local guide, who I meet in my previous trip back in 2005.
The trip has been great..unfortunatelly too short!

    Here we are…

Fabrizio managed to save the money of loading the bike on a trailer...
    ...and my bike wasn't starting...
...but it did in the end...bloody jack!
    Off we go…

When we got back to the camp the wind started to blow really strong…
    [IMG]

The day after( day 4) we were covered in sand…

    Unfortunately Kurt’s clutch died…
    [IMG]
Camp 5 was made at Dekamis where we meet with a group of guys on Quads and 4x4.

The following morning (day 5) with their help we tried to change the clutch. It was then that we sadly realized that 2010 and 2012 690 Enduro R fit different clutch discs!
Kurt had to leave his bike on the support truck for the day.
Again the wind was blowing very badly and it was a long stretch to get to the Oasis of Ksar Ghilane

    Camp 5
    [IMG]
The 6th day was a cool ride along 100k m of pists and dunes. Fabrizio left his EXC to Kurt who had a great fun riding it!

We made Douz again where we had to pack everything including Fabrizio bike back in the car!!
We left at 5:00 am the following morning…someone was very tired!
Unfortunately every time I have been to the Sahara I have been strike by the amount of plastics left on the ground in the town suburbs…and that is sad…
    [IMG]
…I want then to finish with our lovely cute faces…

Those were some nice pictures of a place I'll likely never see. It looks like tough going on 2 wheels.

There you are. Tunisia. South of Tunis, between Algeria and Lybia.
